A Mother’s Day special collection by Art House PH, featuring the work of Jerah Mel Ladines.

Jerah Mel Ladines’ A Mother’s Sacrifice is a tribute inspired by the timeless masterpieces of Fernando Amorsolo, reflecting the empowerment and vital role of women in society, especially in today’s world. The painting draws inspiration from Amorsolo’s portrayal of Filipino rural life, where women and farmers were depicted with dignity, strength, and grace. Through this work, the artist honors Amorsolo’s legacy by capturing the beauty of Filipino culture and reminding us of the values, sacrifices, and traditions that should never be forgotten.

A Mother’s Day special collection by Art House PH, featuring the works of Ronna Manansala.

Ronna Manansala (b. 1963) is the grand daughter of the Philippines’ National Artist in Visual Arts, Vicente Manansala. Her works silently speak of the true beauty of a woman, calm, simple, strong, and in touch with God. She is always inclined to do mother and child as she treasures the love of her grandma and mother. And as she paints, and smells the paint and turpentine she's suddenly transported back in time to a place calls home, in the comforting arms of the real-life hero she fondly calls Lolo Enteng. Manansala, known for her vibrant and expressive brushwork, brings an explosion of life and emotion to the canvas. Her bold strokes and masterful use of colors convey a sense of energy and passion that draws the viewer in, compelling them to explore the hidden depths of each piece. Her art always challenges conventional perceptions, leaving a lasting impression on those who interact with it.

A Mother’s Day special collection by Art House PH, featuring giclée prints of the timeless works of Vicente Manansala

Vicente Silva Manansala (b. 1910) was a Filipino National Artist for Painting from Macabebe, Pampanga, known for his Cubist paintings and prints that portrayed contemporary Filipino life, addressing themes of intimacy, poverty, and culture. He studied at the University of the Philippines School of Fine Arts and later trained at the École des Beaux-Arts through scholarship grants, where he was influenced by modernist ideas and mentored by Fernand Léger. He developed “transparent” Cubism, a style that simplified figures into basic geometric forms layered with translucent colors while keeping them recognizable, often depicting Filipino families, urban and rural life, and everyday scenes. His work blended social commentary with modern techniques and had a lasting influence on younger Filipino artists.
