Agree with this, increase philhealth coverage to cover most of hospital bill, rather than guarantee letter (GL). I allow my patient to pay half or entire professional fee thru GL, but i advise them not to vote for the politician who granted it. They made you go through the process of applying for GL like you are asking for alms, begging for help, instead of making it easier by increasing philhealth coverage. Why do you need to beg, you have diligently paid for you philhealth dues and taxes.

This is alarming, and proper awareness on safe s*x should be given to adolescents, young adults, and couples. We are seeing newborns also infected with HIV here in Palawan, and this is supposedly preventable if only the pregnant mom knows her HIV status prior to delivery, and a prophylaxis medications is given to the baby within 6hours of birth. HIV screening is offered for free at city health, government health centers.
