One year ago today, you left our arms and entered the arms of Jesus.
Not a day has passed that we haven’t missed you, Kai.
Today, I’m sharing this video of you singing Faith is Believing. By this time, you could no longer see, yet you still finished the song with all your heart.
When you sang the words, “Faith is believing even when I cannot see,” you probably didn’t know how deeply those words would touch us one day.
Because that was exactly how you lived.
Even when you could no longer see, you believed.
Even when the treatments were hard, you trusted.
Even when the road was difficult, you kept fighting.
Even when your little body was tired, you kept smiling.
You taught us more about faith, courage, and unconditional love than you will ever know.
A year later, your voice still echoes in our hearts. Your story still inspires, and your faith still speaks.
Sometimes I listen to this song and wonder if God was already writing your testimony through those lyrics. Because when I hear you sing, “Faith is believing even when I cannot see,” I don’t just hear a song anymore. I see a little boy whose faith remained strong through the darkest days.
We miss you beyond words, but we thank God for every moment we were blessed to have with you.
We love you forever, our brave boy.
