Ang cervical cancer ay isa sa mga leading cancers affecting women in the Philippines.

Kung may symptoms ka tulad ng abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, o due ka na for screening, huwag nang ipagpaliban.

Kapag maagap ang screening at diagnosis, mas maraming treatment options ang maaaring pagpilian.

Sa maraming cases, radiation therapy plays a vital role in cervical cancer treatment. Depending on the care plan, this may include External Beam Radiation Therapy (LINAC) to precisely target cancer cells, as well as brachytherapy, a specialized treatment that delivers radiation closer to the tumor area.

Ang cancer treatment ay hindi dapat naaantala dahil lamang sa mahabang waiting time o kakulangan sa access sa serbisyong medikal. Sa pamamagitan ng partnership ng Mt. Carmel Cancer Center at Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital mas maraming eligible patients ang maaaring magkaroon ng access sa radiation therapy and cancer care support through available treatment assistance pathways. Maari ding lumapit ang mga pasyente mula sa ibang Public Hospitals.

Kung ikaw o ang mahal mo sa buhay ay nangangailangan ng radiation therapy, maaaring may options available para sa inyong treatment journey at hindi dapat magalala sa gagastusin.

A day to remember at Mt. Carmel Cancer Center💗

Our first year anniversary celebration was not just a program, it was a gathering of joy, encouragement, and unwavering hope.

Last Friday, we celebrated the 1st Anniversary of Mt. Carmel Cancer Center which began with a Holy Mass led by Msgr. Antonio M. Bustos, followed by a warm welcome from our hosts Ma’am Edz and Ma’am Ging. Inspiring opening remarks were shared by Dr. Innah Marie Lao, Radiation Oncology Department Chairperson, setting the tone for a day of reflection and gratitude.

The celebration continued with fun games and moments of joy, leading to heartfelt thanksgiving remarks from our President, Dra. Monet Briones.

One of the most moving parts of the program was the patient testimonies, reminding everyone of the courage and hope behind every journey.

We ended with a reflection message from Ma’am Ging, closing remarks by Sir Williard Solmeron, and acknowledgments by Ma’am Edz, before sharing a meal together.

Thank you to everyone who made this celebration meaningful.

Fellowshipping with our patients, sharing smiles, and celebrating together reminds us why we do what we do. This reminds us that service is love.

Together, we are stronger than cancer.
