The Municipal Health Office of Santa Ana, headed by ๐๐ฟ. ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐๐น๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐๐ต ๐ฅ. ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ฐ๐๐ฎ, through the PuroKalusugan Team of RHU Santa Ana, successfully conducted the PuroKalusugan Caravan in Barangay Tangatan on August 7, 2026, led by ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ง. ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐, DOH Deployed Doctor to the Barrios (DTTB).
The caravan brought essential healthcare services closer to the community, providing 46 medical consultations, 3 immunizations, 6 prenatal check-ups, 4 laboratory services, 2 diabetes screenings, 6 sputum collections for TB screening, and 32 Phil PEN assessments. The team also distributed free medicines to 60 beneficiaries and provided 20 Kilatis Kutis soaps to support personal hygiene and health promotion.
As part of the Social and Behavior Change (SBC) component of the activity, health education sessions were conducted on Nutrition, Hypertension Awareness, Diabetes Mellitus Awareness, Safe Motherhood, Breastfeeding, Dengue Awareness, & YAKAP Benefits equipping community members with practical knowledge and encouraging healthier behaviors.
The Municipal Health Office extends its sincere appreciation to the Barangay Officials, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS), volunteers, and residents of Barangay Tangatan, headed by ๐ฃ๐๐ป๐ผ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ ๐๐น๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐๐ต ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ, for their valuable support, cooperation, and active participation in making the caravan a successful and meaningful service to the community.
Through the continued efforts of the Municipal Health Office, together with our barangay partners and community health workers, we remain committed to bringing accessible healthcare services, preventive interventions, and health education closer to every community in Santa Ana.
