Not every struggle is spoken aloud.
Sometimes, you notice it in the small changes. Mas tahimik. Mas withdrawn. Parang nawawalan ng gana. Madalas nagsasabing pagod na, pabigat, o wala nang nakikitang way forward.
These signs do not always mean someone is suicidal. But when something feels different or concerning, it is okay to check in.
โKamusta ka talaga lately?โ
Sometimes, that question is enough to open a door.
And when someone starts talking, you do not need to have the perfect advice. Hindi kailangang i-fix agad, i-compare sa iba, o piliting maging positive. Listen. Take them seriously. Stay present.
If there is reason to be concerned about su***de, it is also okay to ask directly and calmly. Asking does not create suicidal thoughts. It can help someone speak more honestly about what they are going through.
And if they need more than a conversation, help them connect to the right support.
Because su***de prevention is not only what happens during a crisis.
Sometimes, it starts earlier.
When someone notices.
When someone asks.
When someone listens.
And when someone helps another person stay connected to support.
NOTICE. ASK. LISTEN. CONNECT.
If you or someone you know is experiencing suicidal thoughts or may be in immediate danger, seek urgent professional or crisis support.
