The South Cotabato Provincial Hospital – Department of Family & Community Medicine Traditional Training Program proudly congratulates our residents for their outstanding performance in the recently concluded Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP) National Exam 1 held last July 19, 2026.

A special recognition as well to our Chief Resident Dr. Andrea Elaine Flores-Arendain for her remarkable achievement of ranking among the Top 10 Performing Examinees in the PAFP National Exam 1.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to our residents’ dedication, discipline, perseverance, and hard work.

Some achievements deserve to be celebrated a little louder.

The South Cotabato Provincial Hospital – Department of Family & Community Medicine proudly congratulates Dr. Andrea Elaine Flores-Arendain for being on TOP 10 -performing examinees in the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP) Residents National Exam 1, held on July 19, 2026.

Being a resident physician is already a demanding journey, but doing it while being a mother, balancing the responsibilities of being Chief Resident, taking care of others, and still finding time to study and prepare for an exam takes a different kind of strength and commitment.

There were surely days when work, family, and everything in between had to be juggled. Yet you kept showing up, kept learning, and kept moving forward.

Your FCM family celebrates not just the Top 10 recognition, but also the dedication, sacrifice, and perseverance that brought you here.

Congratulations to Dr. Kya R. Wenceslao for successfully presenting her case on Bacterial Meningitis last August 12, 2026, during her Internal Medicine rotation.

Because Better Health Takes a Community

Project Mapalad (Maiging Pagbantay laban sa Altapresyons sa Dumadalig) is more than just a hypertension clinic. It is a community effort made possible through the support, trust, and generosity of people who believe that healthcare should be accessible to everyone.

We sincerely thank Dr. Ana Marie T. Tuburan, Head of the Outpatient Department of South Cotabato Provincial Hospital, and the SCPH YAKAP Program for their continued support, especially through the provision of maintenance medications for our patients with hypertension.
Your support helps our patients continue their treatment and makes it easier for them to access the medications they need without having to worry about the added cost.

We are also grateful to Dr. Renato V. Ureta and the Tantangan Rural Health Unit for warmly welcoming Project MAPALAD and giving us the opportunity to bring this initiative closer to the people of Barangay Dumadalig, Tantangan.

To our COPC Mentor, Dr. Maria Himaya O. Salcedo, thank you for your guidance, encouragement, and for constantly reminding us that Family and Community Medicine goes beyond the walls of the hospital. It is about meeting people where they are and working with the community to build better health together.

And to everyone who has supported us whether by sharing your time, resources, knowledge, or simply believing in this project thank you.
