October can make the rest of the year feel very close.

Work is still moving, plans keep filling up, and taking care of yourself can easily become another thing you're supposed to fit into the schedule.

For Mental Wellness Month, we're looking at the October reset a little differently. Not as another routine to perfect, but as making more room for the things that tend to get pushed aside when life gets busy.

More rooms for rest. For boundaries that actually hold. For asking for help earlier. For the people and routines that help you feel like yourself.

What are you making room for this October?

Understanding a child's behavior often means looking at what may be happening underneath it.

Our partner developmental pediatrician, Dr. Francis Dimalanta, joins Life Over Wh***ey for a conversation on child development, autism, parenting, early intervention, and the signs families may not always know what to make of.

Catch the podcast this Thursday on Life Over Wh***ey.

Understanding our children isn’t always easy. Sometimes, the signs are there but we don’t always know what to look for.

This Thursday on Life Over Wh***ey, we’re joined by Dr. Francis Dimalanta, a developmental pediatrician who helps children and families better understand developmental differences and the unique journey of every child.

We’ll talk about parenting, child development, autism, early intervention, and the things parents often miss—including when to seek help and how we can better support our children as they grow.

Because every child develops differently. And sometimes, understanding them is the first step toward helping them thrive.

Everyone has their own reason for wanting to keep going.

We asked two of our older adult clients one simple question, and their answers came back to the things they still want to do for themselves and enjoy in everyday life.

That's the takeaway from this session: as we get older, the brain and body still need to work together for the things we want to keep doing.

It feels different when they start doing parts of the routine without being reminded.

Maybe it's getting dressed, putting things back, or knowing what comes next in the morning.

These little changes can tell us a lot about what's happening underneath. Our Developmental Services programs work on the foundations that help the brain organize a task and the body carry it through.

Over time, that can mean needing less help with the things they do every day.

A simple "Kumusta ka?" can open a conversation, but what happens after we ask matters too.

In her conversation with DZRH's Expert's Opinion, MindPlus psychologist and pscyhometrician, Susanna, talked about paying attention to our mental wellness, checking in with the people around us, listening when someone opens up, and knowing when professional support may be needed.

These are reminders worth carrying beyond Su***de Prevention Month.

Getting older can make familiar movements feel different.

Simple daily movements like getting up from a chair, turning, reaching for something, or trying to keep your balance don't rely on strength alone. Attention, timing, and coordination are part of it too.

For older adults, these are worth paying attention to because they show up in so many parts of the day.

MindPlus Circle is now open for Teens and Adults!

These are small group sessions facilitated by psychologists for people who want a safe and guided space to talk, reflect, and feel supported.

For Teens, the Circle opens space for concerns around friendships, fitting in, confidence, and identity. For Adults, it offers space for stress, pressure, burnout, and the everyday weight of life.

If you’ve been thinking about joining, this is a good time to start.
