Distribution of Cooking & Eating Utensils and Food Items Successfully Conducted | BangUn Program
Alhamdulillah, after a series of preparatory activities, coordination meetings, orientations, and validation efforts previously conducted under the BangUn Program, the long-awaited Distribution of Cooking and Eating Utensils together with the 1st Delivery of Food Items for Set A and Set B beneficiaries was finally successfully conducted on May 19, 2026 at the Tennis Court, Municipal Gymnasium, Tamparan, Lanao del Sur.
The distribution activity was spearheaded by our beloved Mayor Mohammad Juhar D. Disomimba together with the honorable Sangguniang Bayan Members, members of the Local Nutrition Council, municipal stakeholders, barangay officials, and partner agencies, reflecting the municipality’s collective commitment in strengthening nutrition and health interventions for the good people of Islamic Municipality of Tamparan.
The initial delivery of food items is expected to sustain beneficiaries for two weeks as part of the preparations for the official commencement of the BangUn Program — a 180-day feeding and nutrition support initiative intended to benefit approximately 2,500 children aged 0–9 years old and lactating mothers across the 44 barangays of the municipality.
This initiative aligns with the continuing programs and advocacies of the Municipal Local Nutrition Council in addressing malnutrition and reducing cases of stunting, Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), and Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) among children through sustained nutrition interventions and community-based support programs.
