The Provincial Health Office of Cagayan joins the provincial government and the people of Cagayan in mourning the passing of Rogelio β€œKa Rogie” Sending, Jr., Cagayan Provincial Information Officer.

Ka Rogie will be remembered for his dedicated service to the province, his invaluable contributions to public information and development communication, and his unwavering commitment to bringing the government closer to the people. Through his leadership and passion for public service, he helped strengthen community engagement and promote the rich cultural heritage of Cagayan.

His legacy of service, collaboration, and dedication will continue to inspire public servants and the communities he served. His contributions to the province will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Cagayan, together with the District Hospitals, City Health Office (CHO), and other participating service providers, provided medical and healthcare services during the Bayanihan Para sa Balikbayang Manggagawa – National Reintegration Network. The activity aimed to provide essential healthcare services to Balik Manggagawa beneficiaries and support their health and well-being as they reintegrate into their communities.

A total of 137 patients received medical assistance, with 105 patients served by the PHO and district hospitals and 32 patients catered to by the City Health Office. Additionally, 30 patients availed themselves of laboratory services, while 9 patients received dental services.

The active participation and support of the Chiefs of Hospitals, together with the medical teams and healthcare personnel, contributed to the effective delivery of services throughout the activity. Their coordination helped ensure the availability of medical personnel, equipment, supplies, and other necessary resources to provide appropriate healthcare assistance to the beneficiaries.

The successful conduct of the medical mission demonstrated the importance of inter-agency collaboration in delivering accessible, responsive, and people-centered healthcare services.

The Provincial Government of Cagayan reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the health and well-being of returning Filipino workers and ensuring that essential healthcare services reach those who need them.

As thousands of faithful gathered for the Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the St. Peter Metropolitan Cathedral Parish in Tuguegarao City, the Provincial Health Office and the District Hospitals of Cagayan remained ready to provide medical assistance and ensure the health and safety of the pilgrims.

Beginning at 12:30 PM and continuing until 7:30 PM, the medical team maintained its presence at the venue, ready to respond to health concerns that may arise during the religious gathering.

The medical coverage was led and supported by Dr. Angelo Trinidad, Medical Officer III of the Provincial Health Office, together with the Chiefs of Hospitals of the District Hospitals, namely Dr. Charito Cipriano, Dr. Aireen Duca, Dr. Raymond Ruiz, Dr. Rowena Martina Sion, Dr. Febe Villanueva, Dr. Sharon Go, Dr. Mildred Evelyn Frances Palpallatoc, and Dr. Cedina Bayani.

Throughout the deployment, the medical team attended to four patients who presented with various health concerns, including loss of consciousness, dizziness, and the need for blood pressure monitoring.

Each patient was promptly assessed and provided with appropriate first-aid care. Blood pressure monitoring and other necessary assessments were conducted based on the patients' conditions. Through timely intervention and close observation, all patients were stabilized and safely discharged after receiving the appropriate first-aid care.

The medical team's presence served as an important support throughout the pilgrimage, ensuring that immediate health assistance was available to pilgrims and participants whenever needed.

As the activity concluded at 7:30 PM, the medical team completed its duty after ensuring that all patients under their care had been properly assessed, managed, and discharged.

The successful medical deployment reflects the continued commitment of the Provincial Health Office and the District Hospitals of Cagayan to bring responsive health services closer to the community not only in health facilities, but also where people gather for significant community and religious occasions.

The Provincial Health Office, Ballesteros District Hospital, and Sta. Ana Community Hospital provided medical coverage during the Certificate of Land Ownership Awarding held on October 8, 2026, at the Cagayan Coliseum, Tuguegarao City.

The medical teams commenced their deployment as early as 5:30 AM, ensuring that immediate medical assistance was available to participants throughout the activity.

The participating health facilities were represented by Dr. Nicasio M. Galano, Jr., Chief of Ballesteros District Hospital, and Dr. Jacky O. Caday, Chief of Sta. Ana Community Hospital, who led their respective medical teams in ensuring the availability of essential health services during the event.

A total of 16 patients were attended to, with hypertension and abdominal pain among the cases managed by the medical team.
Patients with hypertension were provided with blood pressure monitoring, assessment and observation, prescribed oral antihypertensive medications, and appropriate health advice.

Patients experiencing abdominal pain were assessed and provided with supportive management and oral medications for pain relief, as indicated, with further consultation or referral advised when necessary.

The deployment underscores the continued commitment of the Provincial Health Office and its partner hospitals to providing timely, accessible, and responsive medical services during significant provincial activities.
