Cardiac chest pain (angina/ischemic chest pain) typically has the following features:

* Location: Central or left side of the chest, often behind the breastbone.
* Character: Pressure, heaviness, tightness, squeezing, crushing, or burning sensation (rather than a sharp stabbing pain).
* Radiation: May spread to the left arm, both arms, shoulders, neck, jaw, back, or upper abdomen.
* Triggers: Often brought on by physical exertion, emotional stress, cold weather, or heavy meals.
* Relief: Usually improves with rest or medications such as nitroglycerin (in angina).
* Associated symptoms:
* Shortness of breath
* Sweating
* Nausea or vomiting
* Dizziness or lightheadedness
* Palpitations

Features suggesting a heart attack

Seek emergency medical attention immediately if chest pain:

* Lasts more than 15–20 minutes,
* Occurs at rest,
* Is severe or worsening,
* Is associated with sweating, breathlessness, nausea, fainting, or pain radiating to the jaw or arm.

Note

Not all cardiac chest pain is typical. Women, older adults, and people with diabetes may present with atypical symptoms such as fatigue, shortness of breath, indigestion-like discomfort, or nausea rather than classic chest pain.

) انجائنا ایکویولنٹ (Angina Equivalent

انجائنا ایکویولنٹ ایسی علامات کو کہتے ہیں جو دل کو خون کی کم فراہمی (Myocardial Ischemia) کی وجہ سے پیدا ہوں، لیکن مریض کو سینے میں درد نہ ہو۔ یعنی یہ علامات سینے کے درد کے بجائے ظاہر ہوتی ہیں اور دل کی بیماری کا اشارہ ہو سکتی ہیں۔

عام علامات:

* سانس پھولنا (خاص طور پر چلنے یا سیڑھیاں چڑھنے پر)
* غیر معمولی تھکاوٹ
* چکر آنا یا سر ہلکا محسوس ہونا
* متلی یا بدہضمی جیسا احساس
* زیادہ پسینہ آنا
* کمزوری
* جبڑے، گردن، کندھے، بازو، کمر یا اوپری پیٹ میں درد یا بے آرامی

کن لوگوں میں زیادہ دیکھی جاتی ہیں؟

* خواتین
* بزرگ افراد
* ذیابیطس (شوگر) کے مریض

مثال:
اگر کسی مریض کو تیز چلنے یا سیڑھیاں چڑھنے پر سینے میں درد کے بجائے سانس پھولنے لگے، اور آرام کرنے سے ٹھیک ہو جائے، تو یہ انجائنا ایکویولنٹ ہو سکتا ہے اور دل کی شریانوں کی بیماری کی علامت ہو سکتی ہے۔

یاد رکھنے کی بات:
“ہر دل کی بیماری سینے کے درد سے ظاہر نہیں ہوتی؛ بعض اوقات سانس پھولنا، تھکاوٹ یا متلی بھی دل کی طرف اشارہ ہو سکتی ہے۔
