Health Services Academy, in collaboration with UNICEF Pakistan, presents the Parenting Month 2026 Seminar, “𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝: 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬.”

Drawing on Pakistan’s first Parenting Manual, Dr. Shaheer Ellahi will share insights on positive parenting, caregiver well-being, fatherhood, and work–family balance.

🎬 From Classroom to Community: Health Marketing in Action

Students of the BS Public Health program (7th & 8th Semester) developed a diabetes prevention video campaign as part of their Health Marketing (PHE-6E) course, under the supervision of course instructor Mr. Abdul Moeed.

Applying core concepts from their coursework—including behavior change communication, digital health marketing, and segmentation, targeting & positioning (STP) —the team translated health theory theory into a practical, community-focused message.

The campaign addresses diabetes as a growing public health challenge in Pakistan by focusing on:
✅ Awareness
✅ Prevention
✅ Behavior change through digital media

It's cherishing to see future public health leaders using health marketing strategies to promote healthier communities. 🌍📢

Bahria University organized a high-level symposium on “AI and Youth Cognitive Health” in collaboration with the BS Public Health Program Health Services Academy Government of Pakistan.

The symposium was hosted by Dr Uzma Masroor, Dean School of Professional Psychology, Bahria University, and Dr Shaheer Ellahi, Head BS Public Health Program HSA, and chaired by the Minister of State for Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination Islamabad Dr Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath.

The event marked an important step toward strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration on Artificial Intelligence, youth cognitive wellbeing, and mental health policy in Pakistan.

Both institutions are now further collaborating to develop operational frameworks for the upcoming Hub of Excellence for Mental Health at the Ministry of NHSR&C, as envisioned and directed by the Honourable Minister.

The symposium was graced by the Honorable Minister of State for Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination Islamabad, Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, alongside distinguished national leadership including Brig (Retd) Dr. Mowadat Rana, Rear Admiral Naeem Sarwar SI(M) (Retd), and Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily.

Bahria University leadership further congratulated Dr. Shaheer Ellahi for advancing a timely and forward-looking discourse on the intersection of technology, mental health, and youth resilience in Pakistan’s evolving digital landscape.

The symposium will be graced by Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, Minister of State for Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination Islamabad, as Chief Guest.

Led by Prof Dr Uzma Masroor in collaboration with Dr. Shaheer Ellahi, Head BS Public Health Program and Focal Person for the National Behaviour Change Communication Strategic Plan (2024–2030), the initiative reflects a forward-looking commitment towards understanding the impact of AI, digital culture, and cognitive health on youth in Pakistan.

The event will bring together experts from public health, psychiatry, psychology, and artificial intelligence to promote evidence-informed dialogue on emerging mental health and behavioural challenges in the digital era.
