It has come to our attention that PDTMA is once again attempting to organize a so-called "dental conference" alongside their trade show. We would like to remind all concerned parties that PDTMA is not authorized to conduct scientific sessions related to dentistry. Their mandate is limited strictly to trade exhibitions and not academic or clinical education.
Last year’s unfortunate event in Islamabad stands as a clear example of mismanagement and irresponsibility. The conference lacked professional oversight, allowed participation from unqualified individuals—including quacks—and was marred by confusion and a total disregard for standard scientific protocols. Shockingly, traders were appointed as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the so-called "scientific committee", making a mockery of our profession.
The Pakistan Dental Association strongly condemns any such actions that compromise the integrity of our field. We call upon all registered dental professionals to reject unauthorized and unregulated platforms that undermine clinical standards and patient safety.
Only properly accredited institutions and professional bodies like PDA are mandated to lead dental scientific sessions in Pakistan. We urge all stakeholders to uphold ethical standards and ensure that our profession is not hijacked by commercial interests.
