The National Health Support Project successfully organized a workshop for District Health Office focal persons on Healthcare Waste Management (HWM) and the Health Facility Monitoring Checklist using the KoBoCollect app. The training enhanced participants' knowledge and practical skills to improve data collection, monitoring, and reporting, contributing to stronger health systems and better service delivery.

World Hepatitis Day | NHSP Federal

The NHSP Federal team participated in the World Hepatitis Day event, joining national and international partners in reaffirming the commitment to eliminating Hepatitis C in Pakistan.

Strengthening Accountability and Protection at Every Level

NHSP Federal conducted coordination meetings with the IDSR and NHSC teams to support the development of a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) and Complaint Escalation Mechanism.

A Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) provides a transparent and accessible platform for individuals to raise concerns and seek timely resolution, while PSEAH (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment) promotes a safe, respectful, and accountable environment for all.

These collaborative efforts aim to establish an effective, transparent, and inclusive system that is accessible to everyone. NHSP Federal remains committed to providing the necessary technical support for the successful implementation and strengthening of these mechanisms.

Strengthening environmental and social safeguards across the health system.

NHSP Federal, on behalf of the Ministry of National Health Services, conducted a session with District Medical Officers from Primary Healthcare (PHC) facilities to enhance understanding of Hospital Waste Management (HWM) Rules, Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Guidelines, and the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM).

The initiative emphasized the development of practical, time-bound district-level action plans and strengthened engagement of facility-level Medical Officers to support effective implementation, accountability, and continuous improvement in healthcare service delivery.

The National Health Support Program Federal team collaborated with NHDC to facilitate national-level data collection on hospital waste management.
