Visit of Commissioner Larkana to JIMS Jacobabad
The Honorable Commissioner Larkana Division Mr Rasheed Masood Khan paid an official visit to the Jacobabad Institute of Medical Sciences (JIMS), Jacobabad, to review the healthcare facilities and ongoing development initiatives at the institution.
Upon arrival, the Commissioner was warmly received by Brigadier Muhammad Zubair Sheikh, Director JIMS Jacobabad, along with senior doctors and administrative staff. A detailed briefing was given highlighting the hospital’s performance, patient care services, and future expansion plans, particularly in specialized departments including Radiology, Dialysis, and Infectious Diseases.
During the visit, the Commissioner toured various departments including Emergency, OPD, Radiology, Dialysis Unit, and IPD wards. He interacted with patients and attendants, inquiring about the quality of services being provided. The Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the JIMS management and staff in delivering quality healthcare services to the people of Jacobabad and surrounding areas.
The Director JIMS also apprised the Commissioner of the challenges being faced by the institution, including the need for additional resources, equipment, and financial support to further enhance service delivery. The Commissioner assured full cooperation and support from the district administration to address these issues.
The visit concluded with a meeting where key issues were discussed, and directions were issued to further improve patient care, cleanliness, and administrative efficiency within the hospital.
