SKIN CARE TIPS FOR THE MONSOON

- Shield your skin. Just because it’s cloudy, does not mean your skin is protected from the sun. It is highly important to guard your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays, so always use a good sunscreen with a high SPF factor.
- Gentle exfoliation. Dead skin cells should be daily removed. Use a good skin scrub to get rid of those dead cells and make your skin radiant... and glowing.
- Drink adequate water. Drink at least 7-8 glasses of water to maintain skin hydration, as the skin loses a lot of water due to sweating.
- Wash hair often. Wash hair a little more frequently that you usually do in the monsoon as all the humidity and sweat causes it to get dirty soon and attract dust and pollution.
- Avoid artificial jewellery. For those who have very sensitive skin, it is best to avoid wearing heavy jewellery altogether. The humidity can make your skin break out when it comes into contact with anything irritable. So avoid jewellery around your neck and wrists and allow your skin to breathe.

How to Make Homemade Blackhead Remover
Blackheads can be unsightly and extremely difficult to remove if they are set deep in the skin tissue. However, there are simple ways to treat this condition. You can make a natural blackhead remover that doesn't employ any harsh chemicals which may further irritate your skin.
Things You'll Need
Blender
Bowls
Rice
Milk
Lemon juice...
Lime juice
Cinnamon
Potatoes
Fenugreek leaves
Coriander
Turmeric
Oatmeal
Rose water
Baking soda
Honey
Instructions

Soak rice in milk for 5 hours and then grind this in a blender until it is paste-like in consistency. Use the paste as a scrub on affected areas of the body.

Use lemon juice and rub it on the blackheads a few times a day. You can also use equal parts of lime juice and cinnamon powder and apply this mixture to blackheads. Leave it on overnight and rinse it off in the morning.

Make a homemade blackhead remover by grating raw potatoes and then rub the area with the mixture. Wash it off after 15 minutes.

Form a paste with some crushed fenugreek leaves and water. Put this on the face for 15 minutes and then remove it. Do this every night to keep your face free of blackheads.

Combine some coriander leaves and a little turmeric powder with water and form a paste. Use this as a mask to eliminate blackheads.
