❌ MYTH:

“More chicks per square foot always mean more profit.”

✅ FACT:

Overcrowding may increase the number of birds, but it doesn’t always increase your profits.

When birds are stocked beyond the house’s capacity, they compete for feed and water, experience more heat stress, and produce more moisture and ammonia. This can lead to:

📉 Poor Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR)
🐥 Uneven growth and body weights
🌡️ Increased heat stress
🦠 Higher disease pressure
🦶 Wet litter and footpad problems
⚠️ Increased mortality and production losses

💡 The most profitable flock isn’t always the biggest—it’s the healthiest and most efficient.

Maintaining the right stocking density, along with proper ventilation, feeder and drinker space, and good litter management, helps birds achieve better growth, improved FCR, and higher overall returns.

Remember:
Healthy Space = Healthy Birds = Better Profits.
