Why do standard rehab protocols sometimes fail? Because they stop where the pain is. ❌

An elite athlete's programming shouldn't just focus on moving heavy weight; it needs to focus on neuromuscular control and structural balance.

This crousel explains why a weak hip leads to a knee collapse, or a weak scapula overloads the shoulder. Pain is just the smoke. The underlying muscle weakness or dysfunction is the fire.

Train smart, recover right, and keep playing at your absolute peak.

RICE isn’t the gold standard anymore 👀

For years, athletes were told to ice every injury immediately.

But excessive icing may slow parts of the natural healing response by reducing blood flow and inflammatory signaling.

That’s why newer approaches like PEACE & LOVE focus more on:
✔️ Optimal loading
✔️ Education
✔️ Gradual movement
✔️ Long-term tissue recovery

Does that mean ice is useless?
No.

Ice can still help in some cases for short-term pain relief and symptom control — but it’s not the answer for every injury.

Modern rehab is about understanding healing, not just numbing pain.

5 years of anatomy, biomechanics, pathology, assessment, differential diagnosis, pain science, rehabilitation, and clinical reasoning...

Just to open Instagram and discover that every knee pain on earth can apparently be fixed with the same 3 exercises. 😅

Pain is rarely that simple.

The right exercise for the right person at the right time can be life-changing. The wrong exercise can keep someone stuck for months.

Before chasing quick fixes, understand the cause.

Assessment first. Treatment second. Results follow. 🦵📚

FAST bowlers don't bowl fast because they "try harder."

They bowl faster when their body is prepared to produce force efficiently.

A proper warm-up isn't about sweating before practice. It's about preparing the nervous system, muscles, tendons, and joints to handle high-speed bowling demands.

Before asking a bowler to increase pace, ask:

✅ Is their body temperature elevated?
✅ Are key muscle groups activated?
✅ Has their movement quality been primed?
✅ Have they progressed from low-intensity to match-intensity efforts?

Research consistently shows that an evidence-based warm-up can improve performance, enhance force production, and reduce injury risk.

As a Sports Physiotherapist, I view warm-up as the first performance intervention of every session—not just a routine before training.

How long do YOU spend warming up before bowling? 👇

Honored to have provided sports physiotherapy coverage for the Grade-II Sports Board Punjab Cricket Trials at the Cricket Academy, Lahore with my fellow sports physiotherapist Dr. Fahad Naveed, and

Managing athlete health during high stakes trials requires quick clinning and efficient on field rehabilitation. From acute injury assessment to ensuring optimal performance, it was a rewarding experience to be part of the selection process for the President's Trophy 2025-26.

A special thank you to my teacher for providing this incredible opportunity to serve the cricketing community and grow as a professional.

Onwards and upwards!

As a Sports Physiotherapist, I spend my days helping athletes improve performance, recover from injuries, and stay consistent.

But I've learned something important:

You can't pour from an empty cup.

The habits that keep me performing at my best are surprisingly simple:
• Move my body daily
• Keep learning
• Protect my mindset
• Stay consistent even when motivation is low

High performance isn't built in one day.
It's built through small actions repeated every day.

Jumper’s Knee isn’t usually a strength problem.

More often, it’s a load management problem.

When training load increases faster than tendon capacity, pain starts affecting performance, jumping, sprinting, and confidence.

That’s why rehab isn’t about complete rest.

It’s about:
✔️ Managing load intelligently
✔️ Reducing pain with the right exercises
✔️ Building tendon capacity progressively

A stronger tendon isn't built overnight. It’s built through consistent, progressive loading.

If I had to fix a batsman’s wrist pain using only 3 rehab techniques… I’d choose these!

1️⃣ Load management
Most athletes don’t need complete rest, they need smarter loading. Reducing excessive batting volume while maintaining pain-free movement is key to recovery.

2️⃣ Progressive eccentric & forearm strengthening
Wrist tendons need gradual strength exposure to rebuild load tolerance and improve force transfer during batting. Eccentric loading has shown promising results in wrist/hand rehab.

3️⃣ Wrist proprioception & grip control training
Elite batting depends heavily on wrist control, grip stability, and neuromuscular coordination not just pain reduction. Modern rehab now emphasizes proprioceptive retraining as part of wrist recovery.

Sports rehab isn’t just about removing pain.
It’s about restoring performance, confidence, and tissue capacity.

Not all knee pain needs rest.
Not all knee pain should be ignored.

Some athletes can keep playing.
Some need load modification.
Some need to STOP immediately 🚨

This Knee Pain Tier List helps you understand what your symptoms might actually mean before one bad decision turns into months out of sport.

If you’re dealing with ongoing knee pain, instability, pain during squats/running/jumping, or repeated flare-ups…

DM “PLAN” for a structured Knee Matrix Assessment & rehab strategy.

I help athletes stay in the game not just out of pain.
