🚨 Violence Against Healthcare Professionals is Unacceptable

The tragic acid attack on a lady doctor at Civil Hospital Quetta has deeply shocked and saddened the entire medical community. We strongly condemn this barbaric and cowardly act, which represents a grave violation of human dignity and an attack on those who dedicate their lives to serving humanity.

Healthcare professionals work tirelessly, often under challenging circumstances, to provide care, comfort, and hope to patients. Any form of violence against doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers is intolerable and poses a serious threat to the healthcare system and society as a whole.

The safety and security of healthcare professionals, particularly women doctors, must be ensured through effective legislation, strict enforcement of laws, and comprehensive security measures. A secure working environment is not a privilege—it is a fundamental right of every healthcare worker.

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of PGMI, Ameer-ud-Din Medical College, and Lahore General Hospital, we express our complete solidarity with the affected doctor and her family. 🌿 Grand Clinical Rounds & Lecture Series | PGMI / AMC / LGH, Lahore 🌿

In continuation of its commitment to academic excellence and professional development, the Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI), Ameer-ud-Din Medical College (AMC), and Lahore General Hospital (LGH) organized another enlightening session of the Grand Clinical Rounds & Lecture Series.

📚 Advancing Research Excellence at PGMI/Ameer-ud-Din Medical College Lahore

The 12th Monthly Institutional Review Board (IRB) Meeting was successfully held at Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI) / Ameer-ud-Din Medical College (AMC), Lahore.

During the meeting, fifteen research synopses submitted by MS and FCPS trainees as well as faculty members were critically reviewed and discussed to ensure adherence to ethical standards, scientific rigor, and research quality.

This monthly academic activity, being conducted regularly for the past one year, reflects the institution’s unwavering commitment to strengthening research culture, promoting evidence-based practice, and enhancing the quality of scientific publications. Such initiatives will play a vital role in fostering impactful research and contributing to advancements in healthcare, medical education, and patient care.
