*DC Larkana Visits PPHI Regional Office Larkana*
*Larkana, 13 May 2026:* Deputy Commissioner Larkana, Tariq Manzoor Chandio, visited the Regional Office of the Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Larkana.
Regional Director PPHI Larkana, Zuhaib Islam Abbasi, along with District Manager Sanaullah Mangi, Junaid Ahmed Soho, and other officials, received him.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected the Regional Office, reviewed the record section, and chaired a meeting on ongoing PPHI matters in Larkana District.
The Regional Director briefed that PPHI is managing 90 health facilities in the district, including 3 Taluka Hospitals, 4 RHCs, 28 BHUs, and 55 Dispensaries. For better monitoring and supervision, these facilities have been divided into two operational zones.
The RD briefed that all facilities are providing OPD, MNCH, EPI, Family Planning, and Emergency Services free of cost. The average daily OPD attendance is 4,200 patients.
He stated that 18 facilities require minor repairs/renovation. Solarization of 22 BHUs under ADP has been completed.
DC Tariq Manzoor Chandio said that PPHI is a key partner in primary healthcare delivery, especially in rural areas. The district administration will provide full support to resolve administrative and logistical issues. He emphasized zero tolerance for absenteeism and directed that facilities remain open during notified hours. He appreciated the staff working in remote areas and urged them to improve patient satisfaction. He said that some dispensaries should be established in urban areas to reduce the patient burden on tertiary care hospitals. At the end, he thanked the PPHI management for the warm welcome.
