On 25th September 2025, during the Grand Get-Together held at Khudadad Hotel, Muzaffarabad, a proud milestone was celebrated in the history of our department:

✨ Closing of the Old Cabinet (Session 2021–25)
✨ Oath-Taking Ceremony of the New Cabinets of Public Health Society UAJK

💐 Heartiest congratulations to Miss Tehleel Fatima, the Founding President of Public Health Society, on her successful tenure (17-02-2023 to 25-09-2025). Her dedication, vision, and leadership laid the foundation of this society and inspired many to serve with passion. 🌸

🌟 Warm congratulations also to Miss Muskan Ismail, the Current and New President of the Public Health Society, as she takes on this honorable responsibility. Our prayers and best wishes are with her and the entire new cabinet for a successful and impactful journey ahead. 🙌✨

Together, we celebrate the achievements of the past and step forward with hope and commitment for the future of the Public Health Society – UAJK. 💙

🌟 Memorable Get-Together of Public Health Department 🌟

On 25th September 2025, a grand departmental get-together was successfully organized at Khudadad Hotel, Muzaffarabad.

This event was hosted by Batch 2022–26, 2023–27 & 2024–28 in honor of our beloved Seniors and Pioneer Batch of Public Health (2021–25), as they signed off after an incredible journey. ❤️

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our dear friend and fellow student, Mateen. His untimely departure has left a void in our hearts and in our department that cannot be filled.

Mateen was more than just a fellow—he was a kind soul, a dedicated student, and a cherished part of our academic family. His presence brought warmth and positivity to those around him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Gone too soon, but never forgotten. 🕊️

Urgent Blood Donation Appeal

One of our fellow students from the Department of Public Health, Abdul Mateen, is currently in the ICU on a ventilator at CMH Muzaffarabad. He is in critical condition and urgently needs 10 units of A+ blood.

🎓 MPH Thesis Defense Successfully Conducted – Congratulations! 🎓

On 19th July 2025, the Department of Public Health proudly conducted the final thesis defense of two MPH scholars:

1️⃣ Junaid Ahmed Mir (Session 2013–2015)
Thesis Title: Prevalence and Risk Factors of Vision Disorders Among School-Going Children in Muzaffarabad, AJK
Supervisor: Mir Prof. Dr. Bashrat Ahmed

2️⃣ Riaz-ur-Rehman Riaz (Session 2014–2016)
Thesis Title: Prevalence of Hepatitis B and C Among Multi-Transfused Thalassemia Patients of Muzaffarabad, AJK
Supervisor: Associate Professor Dr. Zahid Latif (joined the session online)

The defense session was held in the esteemed presence of External Examiner *Dr. Tanvir Shafi and Dr. Adnan Altaf* (Head of the Department), Department of Public Health, along with the respective supervisors of both scholars.
