Midland Doctors Medical Institute regularly conducts fire safety and fire extinguisher training for its staff every six months to ensure preparedness for any emergency situation. The hospital also carries out routine checks of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and other safety equipment installed across the facility to maintain the highest safety standards.

In continuation of this practice, a fire safety training session was conducted today for the staff. During the session, the Fire Safety Officer, along with Director Operations Bilal Ahmed, provided detailed guidance on how to effectively respond to fire incidents and other unforeseen emergencies.

The staff were also given hands-on training, enabling them to properly use fire extinguishers and other safety equipment in real-life situations.

Midland Doctors Medical Institute remains strongly committed not only to providing quality healthcare but also to ensuring the safety and security of its patients, staff, and visitors.

A 77-year-old patient, Noor-e-Chasham, came to Midland Doctors Medical Institute with severe eye discomfort pain, redness, swelling, and blurred vision. She was diagnosed with keratitis caused by ectropion, leading to corneal haze.

With timely care at the Ophthalmology Department of Midland Doctors Medical Institute, she has now fully recovered and is doing well.

Our department is equipped with modern facilities and led by Ayesha Pervaiz, along with a dedicated team committed to quality eye care.

At Midland Doctors Medical Institute, we provide routine eye surgeries and free treatment for patients who cannot afford it because everyone deserves the gift of sight.

Midland Doctors Association is proud to announce that Dr. Syed Yusuf Iftikhar, Consultant Surgeon and Chairman of the Midland Doctors Association, was officially installed as High Sheriff of Derbyshire in a distinguished commemorative ceremony held on 2nd April 2026.
Dr. Iftikhar, a graduate of Dow Medical College (1979), earned his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (1985) and was awarded a Doctorate (DM) by the University of Nottingham (1991) for his pioneering research in gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
A highly respected surgeon, philanthropist, and humanitarian, Dr. Iftikhar has dedicated significant time to providing medical care in Pakistan. Alongside colleagues from the Midland Doctors Association, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Midland Doctor Medical Institute in Muzaffarabad, ensuring access to quality healthcare for underserved communities.
Dr. Iftikhar’s humanitarian efforts have been widely recognized, including by Her Royal Majesty, Late Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. His relief work following the devastating 2005 Kashmir earthquake and the 2010 floods in Sindh, Pakistan is particularly commendable.
A longstanding member of the Rotary Club, Dr. Iftikhar was honored with the Paul Harris Fellowship in 2006 for his outstanding contributions and further recognized in 2014 for service above and beyond.
Midland Doctors Association congratulates Dr. Iftikhar on this prestigious appointment. His dedication, leadership, and impact on both medical and humanitarian fronts are an inspiration to all.
