Pakistan's path to health security took center stage on PTV News "Sach To Yeh Hai", Where the President: Mr. Zafar Mahmood of the Institute of Pakistan Medical Device Manufacturing Industry - IPMDI discussed what the country must do to reduce its dependence on imported vaccines, active pharmaceutical ingredients and medical devices. He spoke with clarity and conviction. He noted that Pakistan's population has crossed 250 million and grows by nearly 7 million children each year, and argued that a nation of this scale cannot continue to rely on other countries for its essential medical supplies.

He cited the achievements of Sialkot's surgical instrument industry, which already exports goods worth 500 million dollars annually, as evidence that Pakistani manufacturers can meet international standards and compete globally when supported by consistent policy and sustained government partnership.

This is a conversation that speaks directly to the future of healthcare in Pakistan and deserves the attention of every citizen invested in that future. The full interview is available on PTV News's Sach To Yeh Hai.

This Independence Day, Institute of Pakistan Medical Device Manufacturing Industry - IPMDI is thinking about what it takes to actually build something for Pakistan, not just talk about it. Over the past months we've been bringing manufacturers, suppliers, healthcare professionals, and regulators to the same table, and it's made a real difference. When these groups sit down together instead of working in isolation, the industry moves faster and the outcomes are better for patients. That's the work we want to keep doing: connecting the people who make up Pakistan's medical device sector so the country's healthcare system gets stronger, one partnership at a time.

Happy Independence Day from the team at Institute of Pakistan Medical Device Manufacturing Industry - IPMDI.
