A mock emergency evacuation and fire drill was conducted at Mercy Teaching Hospital on 08 August 2026 to assess the emergency preparedness and response capabilities of all staff. The activity was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the hospital’s emergency evacuation procedures and enhance staff awareness and readiness during a fire or other emergency situation.

All hospital staff, including consultants, as well as students from Peshawar Medical College, actively participated in the drill. The exercise provided an opportunity to assess coordination, communication, evacuation procedures, and the overall preparedness of personnel in responding to an emergency.

A farewell ceremony was organized by the administration of Mercy Hospital to honor the Drivers' Incharge, Mr. Amin, who served the hospital with dedication from 2009 to July 2026.

Throughout his service, Mr. Amin was known for his commitment, sincerity, and professionalism. His dedication to duty and positive attitude earned him the respect and appreciation of both the hospital administration and his colleagues.

The Medical Superintendent of Mercy Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Ghiias Rajab, highly praised Mr. Amin's exemplary attitude, strong work ethic, and professional conduct throughout his years of service. A comprehensive hands-on workshop on Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBS/Gynae) clinical drills for IMM/FCPS Part-II trainees was successfully conducted on March 26, 2026 at Mercy Teaching Hospital.
The workshop aimed to enhance the clinical skills and practical competencies of postgraduate trainees. The session provided participants with valuable exposure to essential obstetric and gynaecological procedures through interactive discussions and practical demonstrations.
The workshop was graced by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Aman Khan, Principal PMC while the workshop was facilitated by a distinguished panel of experts including Prof. Dr. Tehniyat Ishaq Khattak, Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Parveen, Prof. Dr. Samdana Wahab and Associate Prof. Dr. Shandana Bawar, who shared their expertise and guided trainees through various clinical drills. Dr. Nafeesa Ghani and Dr. Aisha Ali served as moderators.
Key topics covered during the workshop included maternal collapse management, balloon tamponade, clinical audit, LCG, POP-Q, urodynamics, critical appraisal, and MVA.
