🎗️ Re**al Cancer in Young Adults: Know the Signs, Symptoms & Protect Your Health
Although colore**al cancer is becoming more common in adults under 50, most young adults will never develop re**al cancer. However, recognizing the warning signs early can save lives.
⚠️ Signs & Symptoms:
➕ Blood in the stool or re**al bleeding
➕ A change in bowel habits (diarrhoea, constipation, or narrower stools) lasting more than a few weeks
➕ Persistent abdominal pain, cramping, or bloating
➕ A feeling that the bowel does not empty completely
➕ Unexplained weight loss
➕ Fatigue or weakness (may be caused by anaemia)
➕ Pain or discomfort in the re**um
🚨 Higher Risk If You Have: ➕ A family history of colore**al cancer or polyps
➕ Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis)
➕ Obesity, smoking, heavy alcohol use, or a diet high in processed and red meats
🔑 Lower Your Risk: 🍎 Eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
🥩 Limit processed meats, red meat, and sugary drinks.
🏃 Be physically active for at least 30 minutes every day.
🚭 Don't smoke.
🍺 Limit alcohol intake.
📅 Get screened for colore**al cancer starting at age 45 if you are at average risk, or earlier if you have a higher risk.
