The 2nd meeting of the Technical Working Group (TWG) under the Health & Population Department (H&PD) was held on 11th May 2026 under the convenorship of the Additional Secretary (Admn.) / Project Director, NHSP Muhammad Ashraf, to review the progress of Learning Management System (LMS) modules being developed under DLRs 2.2 and 10.2.
Representatives from aligned programmes, development partners, academia, WHO, UNICEF, HISDU, and technical experts participated in the meeting. Detailed presentations were delivered on modules related to EPI & Vaccination, Communicable Diseases (CDC), Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Nutrition, Maternal & Adolescent Health, Neonatal & Child Health, and Family Planning & Reproductive Health.
The participants emphasized the need for standardized, evidence-based, and self-paced digital learning modules aligned with endorsed national guidelines and international standards. It was agreed that existing approved training packages would be harmonized and integrated into the LMS to avoid duplication and strengthen the digital training ecosystem for primary healthcare staff.
The meeting concluded with key decisions regarding technical review, stakeholder consultations, module refinement, and timely finalization of digital learning content under the ownership and branding of the Health & Population Department (H&PD).
The meeting was attended by PD-MNHC Dr. Pervaiz Iqbal, PD-PFPP Capt. Usman Ali Khan, Prof. Dr. Rameeza Kaleem (FJMU), Director PHDC, Ms. Sara Khan (APD), Dr. Farrukh Amin, Deputy Director Planning, Ms. Arooj Naseer (DGPW), Ms. Nadia Kiran (DD MIS-MNHC), Dr. Mudassir Saeed (ADH-EPI), representatives from PHCP, Saira Jabeen, Dr. Yahya Gulzar, Dr. Irfan representing WHO, and Provincial Team Lead (E4H), Dr. Shakeel Kakakhel, along with his team.
The core NHSP team, including Mr. Umaid Faisal (Budgeting Specialist) Mr. Karamat Ali (Communication Specialist), Mr. Anayat Shah (Procurement Specialist), and Ms. Yusra Naeem (ESSGS), also attended the meeting.
