World Lung Cancer Day falls on August 1st, and it's a moment that hits close to home for anyone working in healthcare in Pakistan. Lung cancer remains one of the most under-detected and under-treated cancers in the country, ranking among the top five cancers overall and standing as the single most common cancer among men. What makes it especially heartbreaking is how late it's usually caught, with the vast majority of patients only being diagnosed once the disease has already reached an advanced stage, largely because screening and awareness still lag far behind the need.

That's what makes bringing NAB Paclid (Albumin Bound Paclitaxel) to Pakistan such a meaningful milestone for LDS Pharma. Nab-paclitaxel is a globally trusted chemotherapy option, valued for delivering the drug directly to cancer cells with greater precision and fewer of the harsh solvent-related side effects seen with older paclitaxel formulations, making it a genuine option for patients battling lung cancer as well as other solid tumors. Making this therapy locally available means oncologists across the country now have another powerful tool to fight for their patients, and families don't have to look abroad for the treatments their loved ones deserve.

Strengthening the fight against childhood cancer starts with sharing knowledge. Indus Hospital & Health Network, Dow University of Health Sciences and Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, got engaged in a conversation for a medical education session on childhood leukemia, and the room was full of doctors and residents eager to learn. And the numbers shared during the session really show why this matters; around 10,000 children are diagnosed with cancer in Pakistan every year, yet there are only about 15 specialized pediatric oncology facilities in the whole country, mostly limited to 3 to 4 major cities. That means a lot of children face delays in diagnosis and treatment simply because of where they live. Sessions like this, focused on early recognition and shared care between hospitals, are exactly what's needed to close that gap.

We at LDS Pharma were proud to support this event. Our product PEGASPA (Pegasparaginase) is used in the treatment of childhood ALL, helping kids get effective treatment with fewer injections compared to older options. Being part of an event that's purely focused on helping children fight cancer means a lot to us, and we hope to keep supporting more work like this in the future.

Watch the recent interview from the Pakistan-China B2B conference if you haven't yet. Innovex's Regional Sales GM said something that stuck with us: despite years in pharma, he'd never seen an event backed by government at this scale anywhere in the world, and this was his first time meeting our Prime Minister in person. Over 300 Chinese companies came, many for the first time, because as he said, "if you don't come, you just see a website, it doesn't feel the truth."

We at ViSole Group of Companies and LDS Pharma, were proud to be part of that room, signing MOUs that reflect exactly that shift toward local production and long-term partnership rather than one-time imports. As China looks for reliable partners beyond the West, we're honored Pakistan's healthcare sector is earning that trust, and that we are among those helping bring it to life. Affordable, locally produced healthcare isn't just a talking point for us, it's the goal. Heartfelt thanks to every Chinese company and delegation who believed in Pakistan, and to the Government of Pakistan, especially the Prime Minister's Office, for making these partnerships possible.

Our CEO, Zafar Mahmood, joined Pakistan TV show The Perspective with Mahrukh Hameed to talk about what the Pakistan-China B2B healthcare event really means for the country's future. Beyond the handshakes and the headlines, over 200 Chinese delegates were in Pakistan for direct conversations with local pharmaceutical, IVD, and medical device companies, and Mr. Zafar Mahmood laid out exactly where this partnership needs to go next: "our friendship and our partnership has to move to a new level, and the new level is to make Pakistan self-reliant in the healthcare system."

We would encourage you to watch the full segment and hear the conversation for yourself. It covers where Pakistan's pharmaceutical industry stands today, why the country still imports the majority of its vaccines and APIs, and what it will genuinely take to shift from buying to manufacturing, including the government's own target of a $30 billion export industry in the years ahead. It's a detailed look at where this partnership is headed, and why it matters for us.

Today's seminar on HPV vaccination and the introduction of Cecolin® 9 stood as a genuine milestone in this country's fight against cervical cancer. With Ms. Shaista Pervaiz joining as chief guest, alongside doctors, policymakers, and health experts from across the field, the room carried the weight of a conversation long overdue; marked by hard questions, honest pushback, and the kind of engagement that real progress demands. The discussion returned again and again to a simple truth: this fight cannot be won in isolation. The media carries the responsibility of taking this message beyond conference halls and into homes, translating clinical urgency into public understanding. Doctors bring the credibility and evidence that anchor every policy decision, standing as the trusted voice this cause needs at the community level. And the public must be treated as active participants in this journey, not passive recipients of decisions made on their behalf.

Cervical cancer has claimed too many women in this country before their time. Today's seminar affirmed that the solutions to change this; vaccines like Cecolin® 9, and the collective will to act on them, are finally within reach. Deep gratitude goes to our chief guest for lending her time and voice to this cause, and to every speaker and guest whose honesty shaped the conversation.

Millions in Pakistan manage diabetes without access to real monitoring technology. Diabetes isn't slowing down in Pakistan. The numbers keep climbing every year. So for us at LDS Pharma, this isn't just another product line rather it's a real answer to a real problem, and one we're genuinely excited to bring to patients and healthcare providers across the country.
That's what this is about. Signed at the Pakistan-China Pharmaceutical & Healthcare B2B Investment Conference 2026, supported by SIFC, we at ViSole Group of Companies have officially agreed to partner with Chongqing Lianxin-Zhikang Biotechnology, bringing their advanced Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) sensors built to filter false readings and correct drift with factory-calibrated accuracy to patients and providers across Pakistan. This collaboration moves forward with the awareness and support of DRAP, the Prime Minister's office, the Ministry of Health, and other government authorities.

A conference built to bring real China-Pakistan healthcare investment to life and this is one of the results. Official, signed, and already moving.

Some big news from the Pakistan-China Pharmaceutical & Healthcare B2B Investment Conference 2026. We at ViSole Group of Companies, through our pharmaceutical arm LDS Pharma, have entered into a strategic collaboration framework with Sinovac Biotech, one of the most respected names in global vaccine development, to bring specialized vaccine manufacturing home to Pakistan; Polio (IPV), Pneumococcal (PCV13), and Varicella among them. The plan: local fill-and-finish first, then a phased build toward full manufacturing, real technology transfer, and real training for our people, backed by an investment of up to USD 200 million. First phase targeted within 12 to 18 months. The plan is phased and realistic: starting with local fill-and-finish, and building step by step toward full manufacturing capability right here. Real technology transfer. Real training for our people. Real infrastructure that stays in Pakistan long after the ribbon-cutting is done.

This is being done under the guidance of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, the Prime Minister's office, the Ministry of Health, and other government authorities and signed on a platform built for exactly this kind of partnership, one bringing Pakistan and China closer on pharma, healthcare, and biotech investment.

A proud moment, and just the beginning. More soon.

Sometimes a single afternoon can change how an entire room thinks about a disease everyone assumes they already understand. That's what happened on July 16th at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Islamabad, where we were proud to co-host, alongside SINOVAC BIOTECH LTD. China, a scientific symposium on varicella prevention titled “From Evidence to Immunity: Shaping the Future of Varicella Prevention.” Chickenpox has a bit of a reputation problem here; most people will tell you “every kid gets it, it's nothing” but a national serosurvey found only around 42% of the population actually carries immunity, leaving a huge share of young adults susceptible to a disease that hits them far harder than it hits children. Our CEO: Mr. Zafar Mahmood opened with a welcome address, Maj. Gen. (R) Prof. Eijaz Ghani covered the immunology of varicella and why breakthrough infections still occur post-vaccination, and Mr. Yongjun (Eric) GAO of SINOVAC BIOTECH LTD. joined online to introduce PROVARIX.

For us at LDS Pharma, this is where it stops being academic and starts being our job; we're the ones who get to bring PROVARIX® into Pakistani clinics and hospitals, and closing that immunity gap is exactly what this partnership with SINOVAC BIOTECH LTD. is meant to do. Before we wrap up, a proper thank you is owed: to Professor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Durrani, Joint Executive Director of PIMS, for lending the event his presence as our Chief Guest; to Mr. Eric Gao, for joining us all the way from China, even if only through a screen; and to Dr. Nuzhat Yasmeen, Head of the Pediatric Ward at Children's Hospital, PIMS, for coordinating the session and keeping it grounded in what her ward sees every day. Thank you for making this symposium what it was.
