Bro needs a minute. ðŸ˜
After getting into a fight with his mate Satsuki, Kiyomasa the gorilla got kicked out of the nest and sat alone on a rock with his hand on his chin, looking exactly like a man replaying an argument in his head three hours too late.
Kiyomasa lives at the Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Garden in Nagoya, Japan, with his father Shabani, his mother Mimi, his brother Shogen, and his mate Satsuki. Not long before the video was taken, Kiyomasa and Satsuki had an argument. Zookeepers are not sure what the disagreement was about, but it was serious enough that Kiyomasa was kicked out of their shared space and left to sit by himself on a rock.
That is when someone filmed him resting his right arm across his body, placing his left hand near his mouth, and gazing off into the distance with an expression that any human who has ever lost an argument would immediately recognize.
The video has been viewed more than 8 million times across social media platforms, and the internet, predictably, had a field day.
One user wrote, "This is how I look after taking a joke too far with my wife." Another said, "He's replaying the argument and coming up with perfect responses three hours too late." A third joked, "If I walk back to the nest with a peace offering banana, will she accept it, or will she throw it at my head?"
Some commenters took the joke further, imagining the fictional legal and financial fallout of Kiyomasa's domestic dispute. One asked, "Divorce? Alimony? Who gets the kids? Do I really have to start dating again at this age?"
Zookeepers have confirmed that Kiyomasa has since reconciled with Satsuki, presumably after returning with a banana and a heartfelt apology. No word yet on whether the apology was accepted immediately or if there was a cold shoulder period first.
