✅ Fact: Your ears are self-cleaning! Using cotton buds can push wax deeper, cause blockages, or even injure the ear canal.

ناک میں Papilloma یا Wart

ناک میں Papilloma یا Wart ایک بے ضرر (غیرسرطانی) گلٹی ہوتی ہے جو عموماً Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) کی وجہ سے بنتی ہے۔ یہ ناک کے اندر یا نتھنے کے کنارے پر بن سکتی ہے۔

اقسام

1. Squamous Papilloma (سادہ مسہ جیسی گلٹی)

عام ہے اور چھوٹی ہوتی ہے۔

مسے یا پھول گوبھی جیسی چھوٹی گلٹی لگتی ہے۔

2. Inverted Papilloma

کم پائی جاتی ہے مگر زیادہ اہمیت رکھتی ہے۔

ناک کے اندرونی ٹشو میں اندر کی طرف بڑھتی ہے۔

ناک بند ہونا، بار بار نزلہ زکام، یا ناک سے خون آنا ہوسکتا ہے۔

اس میں کینسر بننے کا تھوڑا سا امکان ہوتا ہے۔

3. Fungiform Papilloma

زیادہ تر ناک کی جھلی (septum) کے قریب بنتی ہے۔

عموماً کینسر میں نہیں بدلتی۔

علامات

ناک کے اندر یا کنارے پر چھوٹی گلٹی یا Wart۔

ناک بند ہونا۔

بار بار ناک سے خون آنا۔

کبھی کبھی رطوبت یا سائنوس کی شکایت۔

تشخیص

ENT ڈاکٹر کا معائنہ اور nasal endoscopy۔

biopsy (ٹشو ٹیسٹ) سے تصدیق۔

اگر Inverted Papilloma کا شک ہو تو CT یا MRI۔

علاج

Squamous Papilloma (سادہ Wart): کاٹ کر نکالنا، cryotherapy یا cautery۔

Inverted Papilloma: مکمل سرجری (اکثر endoscopic sinus surgery کے ذریعے) تاکہ دوبارہ نہ بنے اور کینسر کا خطرہ نہ رہے۔

👉 اگر ناک میں کوئی Wart یا گلٹی ہو جو بار بار خون کرے، بڑھ رہی ہو یا ناک بند کرے تو فوراً ENT specialist کو دکھانا چاہیے۔

HPV Vaccine

These days, there is a lot of discussion about the HPV vaccine. I would like to draw your attention to another disease that occurs in children who acquire HPV infection from their mother during childbirth.

Juvenile Onset Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis (JORRP)
This is a disease caused by Human Papillomavirus, particularly types 6 and 11. Mothers infected with HPV can transmit this infection to their babies during delivery.

In this condition, children (mostly under 12 years of age) develop small growths (papillomas) in the throat and on the vocal cords.

🔹 Symptoms:

Hoarseness or rough voice

Weak cry in infants

Whistling sound while breathing (stridor)

Repeated breathing difficulties

In severe cases, risk of airway obstruction and respiratory arrest

🔹 Treatment:
Often requires repeated surgeries to remove these papillomas because they tend to grow back.

🔹 Prevention:
The HPV vaccine (especially quadrivalent or 9-valent) covers HPV-6 and 11, so in the future, cases of JORRP in children may significantly decrease. If this vaccine is given to women before marriage or sexual contact, it reduces HPV infection in the mother, thereby lowering the risk of transmitting the virus during childbirth → which reduces the chances of JORRP in children.

Some research has shown that in countries where HPV vaccination rates are high, the incidence of JORRP has decreased.

Thus, the HPV vaccine is not only effective in protecting women against cervical cancer, but it can also protect children of HPV-positive mothers from this life-threatening disease.

آج کل ایچ پی وی ویکسین کے بارے میں بہت بات کی جارہی ہے، تو میں آپ کی توجہ ایک اور بیماری کی طرف دلانا چاہوں گی جو ان بچوں میں پائی جاتی ہے جنہیں پیدائش کے دوران ماں سے ایچ پی وی انفیکشن منتقل ہوتا ہے۔
Juvenile Onset Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis (JORRP)
ایک بیماری ہے جو ہیومن پیپیلوما وائرس، خاص طور پر ٹائپ 6 اور 11 کے انفیکشن کی وجہ سے پیدا ہوتی ہے۔
وہ مائیں جو ایچ پی وی سے متاثر ہوتی ہیں، وہ یہ انفیکشن اپنے بچوں کو پیدائش کے دوران منتقل کر سکتی ہیں۔
اس میں بچوں (زیادہ تر 12 سال سے کم عمر) کے حلق اور آواز کے تاروں پر چھوٹے مسّے (papillomas) بن جاتے ہیں۔
🔹 علامات: آواز بیٹھ جانا یا بھاری ہونا (hoarseness)
بچّے کا رونا کمزور ہونا
سانس لیتے وقت سیٹی جیسی آواز (stridor)
بار بار سانس لینے میں تکلیف شدید کیسز میں سانس رکنے (airway obstruction) کا خطرہ بھی ہوسکتا ہے۔
🔹 علاج: اکثر بار بار سرجری کرکے یہ مسّے نکالنے پڑتے ہیں کیونکہ یہ دوبارہ اُگ آتے ہیں۔
🔹 بچاؤ (Prevention): HPV ویکسین (خاص طور پر quadrivalent یا 9-valent) چونکہ HPV-6 اور 11 کو کور کرتی ہیں، اس لیے مستقبل میں بچوں میں JLP کے کیسز نمایاں طور پر کم ہوسکتے ہیں۔ اگر یہ ویکسین خواتین کو شادی یا جنسی تعلق سے پہلے دی جائے تو یہ ماں میں HPV انفیکشن کو کم کرتی ہے، اس طرح بچے کی پیدائش کے وقت وائرس کے منتقل ہونے کا خطرہ بھی کم ہوجاتا ہے → جس سے بچوں میں JLP ہونے کے امکانات کم ہوجاتے ہیں۔
کچھ تحقیق سے ظاہر ہوا ہے کہ جن ممالک میں HPV ویکسینیشن کی شرح زیادہ ہے وہاں JLP کے کیسز میں کمی دیکھی گئی ہے۔
ایچ پی وی ویکسین نہ صرف خواتین کو سروائیکل کینسر سے بچانے میں مؤثر ہے بلکہ یہ ایچ پی وی مثبت خواتین کے بچوں میں پیدا ہونے والی جان لیوا بیماری سے بھی تحفظ فراہم کر سکتی ہے۔

Ear Piercing and Precaution
Ear piercing is a common practice for beautification, but if the instruments used are not clean or sterilized, it can lead to dangerous infections and complications.

Perichondritis
An infection of the ear cartilage that can cause severe pain and swelling. If left untreated, it may damage or deform the cartilage.

Cauliflower Ear
If Perichondritis is not treated, the shape of the ear can become permanently deformed, a condition known as "Cauliflower Ear."

✅ Always ensure that ear piercing is done with sterilized and safe instruments.

کان چھیدنا اور احتیاط
کان چھیدوانا خوبصورتی کے لیے ایک عام رواج ہے، لیکن اگر کان چھیدنے والے آلات صاف یا جراثیم سے پاک نہ ہوں تو یہ خطرناک انفیکشن اور مسائل پیدا کرسکتے ہیں۔

Perichondritis
یہ کان کے نرم ہڈی والے حصے (کارٹیلیج) کا انفیکشن ہے، جس سے کان میں شدید درد اور سوجن ہوسکتی ہے۔ علاج نہ ہونے پر یہ حصہ خراب یا بگڑ بھی سکتا ہے۔

Cauliflower Ear
اگر Perichondritis کا علاج نہ کیا جائے تو کان کا شیپ خراب ہوکر ہمیشہ کے لیے بگڑ سکتا ہے، جسے "Cauliflower Ear" کہا جاتا ہے۔

ہمیشہ کان چھیدوانے کے لیے جراثیم سے پاک اورمحفوظ آلات استعمال کروائیں۔
