He was only in my arms
for a chapter of my life.

But the way he loved me
changed every chapter after that.

The way he said “Mom.”
The way he looked for me first.
The way his whole face lit up
when I walked into the room.

Those moments were brief.

But they were real.
And they shaped me forever.

People talk about time
like it determines the size of love.

But my son taught me
that even a short time
can leave an eternal mark on a heart.

I may not have gotten forever with him.
But I got to be his mother.

And that love still lives inside me
with the same depth,
the same ache,
the same tenderness
it always had.

Great story! Lessons to be learned for stuck up people. Never, ever judge a book. By it's title or cover! Look how bad they treated her being in a wheel chair. That's how bad & Disgusting. People react, to thoses whom are homeless & thoses poor souls battling with, Substance Use Disorder. I have personally seen people's reactions and facial expressions and it really makes me mad. Because they think, it will never happen to them or someone they love! Boom!💥 Namaste Jeanette 🇵🇷
