Traditional Romanian Mucenici — sourdough buns shaped like the number 8, made with whole grain flour and slow fermentation.

In Romania these are baked every year on March 9th to honor the 40 Martyrs of Sebaste, a day that blends faith, tradition, and the joy of sharing food with family and community.

After baking, they are gently soaked in honey syrup and finished with toasted walnuts.

Simple ingredients. Slow baking. A beautiful tradition kept alive.
