🌟 Support Inclusion: Help Keep the Super Intern Program Alive! 🌟
Two years ago, Rwanda Down Syndrome Organization (RDSO) set out to create meaningful employment opportunities for young adults with Down syndrome. We reached out to potential partners, and The Hope Shop Rwanda answered the call!
With the help of special education teachers, they trained their staff and welcomed our first Super Intern, Louise Isimbi, followed by Eric. Their team embraced the challenge, and before long, they saw the incredible value and joy these interns brought. Seeing their success, we knew we had to expand the program!
Last year, high school students helped raise $3,500, our first dedicated fundraiser for the Super Intern program. Then came a major breakthrough—the U.S. Embassy approved a grant of $8,800 to officially launch the program, providing structured training and employment opportunities.
But just weeks after receiving the first quarter of funds, we were hit with devastating news: "Stop Grant Work Immediately." Due to the freezing of foreign aid, our funding was suspended, putting the future of the Super Intern program at risk.
💛 We refuse to let this stop us! Young adults with Down syndrome CAN work, CAN be independent, and DESERVE opportunities to contribute to their communities. Families are seeing hope for the first time, and we won’t let that be taken away.
We need your help to:
✅ Keep the Super Intern program running
✅ Fund Rwanda’s World Down Syndrome Day event, which brings together 500+ children with Down syndrome and their families
💙 Will you stand with us? Donate today at belayglobal.org/rdso and help us continue building a future of inclusion, opportunity, and hope!
