We officially opened our doors on 1st September 2026 with a mission to make vascular care more proactive through prevention, early detection and timely treatment.

Your circulation matters. Do you recognise the signs?

September is Vascular Awareness Month, an opportunity to raise awareness of vascular health and conditions affecting our arteries and veins.

Our arteries carry blood away from the heart, while our veins return blood to it. When circulation is affected, different symptoms may develop depending on the underlying condition.

Some signs to be aware of include:
• Leg discomfort or cramping when walking that improves with rest
• Aching, heaviness or swelling in the legs
• Visible or bulging varicose veins
• Persistent skin changes around the ankles
• Wounds on the feet or legs that are slow to heal

These symptoms may have different causes and do not necessarily indicate vascular disease.

This Vascular Awareness Month, NovaFlow Center for Vascular Health and Surgery hopes to encourage greater understanding of vascular conditions and the importance of recognising changes in your circulation.

If you experience persistent or recurring symptoms, discuss them with your doctor to determine whether further assessment is appropriate.
