We got a pleasant surprise yesterday.
A small injured sparrow came inside our home and was sitting in the living room. She then flew inside the puja ghar (praying room) and found a comfortable space in the mandir (temple) near Shiva's photo.
We did not want to disturb her and we let her sit there. We fed her with grains and water. She sat there for the whole day.
In the evening, we thought that she won't be able to fly out if she wants to go. We removed the idols and photos from the mandir and brought up the mandir to the home terrace with the seated sparrow. Now the mandir had only one Goddess! (Guess who?). We provided her with proper shelter so that in case it rains she is not affected. She slept peacefully for the whole night.
In the morning, when we went to see her, she looked fresh. Her eyes were glowing and she looked energetic and well-recovered. We were happy to see her healthy. There were many birds chirping in the morning. She came out of the mandir and took a flight and it looked as if she had no injury whatsoever. We bid her adieu and she joined her friends flying around.
We felt as if a Goddess had visited our home for a day!
