This is my first time at Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery (Bright Hill Temple). I'm here for a 6-day stay-out Vipassana Meditation retreat.

I'm amazed at the magnitude and scale of this temple. There are many Pagodas and halls all around. The place feels peaceful. If you're in need to fresh air and clearing your mind, you can come here for a walk. There are many stairs.. it'll help to get your cardio working and release any tension from within.

OS upgrade completed. I've completed the third round of 10-day Vipassana meditation. This time I did it in Thailand's Dhamma Kancana.

A friend recommended me to try out a center in Thailand and I must say this is by far the best meditation I've had. The energy of this place and the people are just simply amazing. The place is so clean and the weather is nice and cooling.

I just came back from another 10 day meditation retreat as taught by SN Goenka at Dhamma Malaya in Kuantan, Malaysia (www.dhamma.org)

The first one I went was in Johor last year. I must say this center is much bigger and better. Each of us gets our own room with bathroom attached.

Old students also get a private meditation cell... the first time I went into the cell, I was like...OMG the energy in the cell is so amazing. So I was literally 闭关修炼, facing 4 walls everyday for 10 days.

This is a more strenuous version compared to the Singapore centre I shared in my previous post. Day starts from 4am and ends at 9pm. We do 11 hours of sitting meditation everyday... usually lasting from 2 to 4 hours.. some with a 5-minute break in between.

The technique used here is called Insight meditation... aka Surgery of the mind... here I saw all my patterns and problem areas... not just the current life ones but also many past lives' karma.

There are many centers around the world. I'm in fact going for my 3rd round of retreat tomorrow in Thailand.

I did a 10 day meditation retreat in Vipassana Meditation Centre Singapore (VMC Singapore) at 268A Balestier Road.

The Dhamma is taught by a Burmese resident monk and translated in English.

I find the Centre to be super clean and conducive for meditation. The energy in the meditation hall is really good and clean.

I learned the proper technique of walking meditation and meditation in our everyday's activities. For the 10 day retreat, we also have individual interview with the monk to discuss the progress/ challenges with our meditation.

I find it very useful to learn how to meditate better and manage some of the unwanted patterns... eg. Dozing off, wandering mind, leg pains, etc.

Have you heard of different vibrational frequencies. For all our thoughts, feelings, emotions, there's a range of frequencies that represent each of them.

Here are some examples. The first step towards healing your generational karma and breaking the chain of patterns is mindfulness.

Pay attention your thoughts, feelings, emotions. Take note of where they belong in the scale of frequencies. Manifest towards the higher level each time. Train your brain to reprogram the thoughts, feelings, reactions over time.
