I learned a lot from this snake.

i was walking on a clear path and turned my head for a few seconds. something told me to look at the path and this snake was crossing it. he looked me in the eye.

i flinched - i am nervous around snakes. seeing my reaction he quickly moved on. later i warned a lady coming the opposite way about him and she was so curious she tried to grab his tail. he ran.

i learned that my senses are sharp enough and i can trust them. i also learned that sometimes nature offers a moment of connection. without being disrespectful, you can be invited to share presence and you need not fear. i have a ways to go as a student of shamanism.

i was too slow to take a picture of the full snake - but reaching for my camera first was besides the point. treasure encounters respectfully and wisely everyone. nature is a wonder.

With deepest apologies I have to cancel tonight's Mystic Monday . Regretfully I have a fever and I think it would be best for both the staff, the patrons and myself to focus on recovery. We all want to do our best and go all out, and sometimes the Universe gives a little feedback about timing.

Wherever you go offer gratitude. Last night during the full moon, Bangkok celebrated Loy Krathong. This festival centers the Goddess of Water, Khongkha - the analogue of the Hindu goddess Gunga. Gratitude is given - and often you can request for your negative energies to be carried in the krathongs - this bundle of flowers incense and candles. Everywhere in the world there are ways to connect to spirit and be grateful.

it is often useful to lift up everything to spirit - the good and the bad - to give gratitude for it all. seek to be supported and be more available to others and yourself. Spirit wants you to be your best. I pray for you to receive this too.
