《GOODBYE - FOR NOW》
We are going on an extended hiatus. It has been a difficult decision to make, but the right decision for us. We are a family business – and family comes before business. Thank you to all who have supported us!
Extra Nordic launched 2.5 years ago, to provide more affordable help to parents struggling with low milk supply. Many milestones have been accomplished in this short time, such as providing more environmentally friendly, aesthetically pleasing mint green box packaging and recently gaining the top selling lactation cookie spot on Shopee. Most importantly, we have baked over 100,000 lactation cookies, helping breastfeeding women in Singapore and beyond!
We are proud to have been a big presence in the Singapore lactation bakes space and to have helped raise the standards! Hygiene and food safety are always important, but especially so when you are passing on your milk to your baby. We ensured we baked in an SFA-licensed kitchen right from the beginning and we provided full ingredients/allergens lists and best before date marking.
From our first sale, via our first small stall at a baby fair, to the top selling spot on Shopee, it has been an exhausting and rewarding wild ride! As said in the beginning, putting Extra Nordic on an extended hiatus has been a difficult decision, because we know how many of you out there love our products and depend on them to help boost your milk supply. We have been around long enough that our first customers have now begun returning to boost their supply for their next baby – little warms our hearts more than that!
When will we be back? Will we be back? Only time will tell.
In the meantime, remember to latch latch latch! It can be tough and painful in the beginning – for several weeks, even! But it is worth it. And nothing stimulates production and empties your b**b better than your baby! Keep in mind that lactation products work differently from woman to woman – and they only have potential to help an already established milk supply.
