When driving in Italy from 16 May until 14 October on all-season or winter tyres, the speed index of those tyres must cover the maximum speed of the vehicle. That's is not always the case, as all-weather/winter tyres with a reduced speed rating are slightly cheaper and therefore save money.
So: check before you set off, otherwise you might face a fine.

The delegation experienced the depth of China’s industrial integration first-hand, starting with a tour of our birthplace - the Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST) Industrial Chain.

The highlight of the trip was an exclusive session at Sailun’s new proving ground. Here, the team got behind the wheel of the most advanced Chinese NEVs—the BYD Yangwang U8, the hypercar U9, and the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra —all fitted with Sailun tyres. Experiencing the U9’s sub-2.4-second 0-100 acceleration firsthand provided powerful proof of how Chinese tyre technology is evolving in sync with the country’s automotive industry. From sharp acceleration to confident braking and controlled wet handling, every corner was a showcase of grip, stability and trust where it matters most. Because smart performance isn’t guessed - it’s calculated.

🔆 What are daytime running lights?
Daytime running lights are energy-saving LED lights on the front of a vehicle. Their strength is to ensure that your car is much better visible. The aim is to increase awareness in traffic and reduce accidents.

✨ Good to know:
Daytime running lights only illuminate the front of the vehicle; the rear usually remains unlit.
They are weaker than low beams and save energy.
They are standard equipment on new cars and switch on automatically when the ignition is turned on.
There is no separate symbol in the cockpit.

🌍 Travelling abroad?
The regulations on daytime running lights are not the same everywhere:
In some countries, low beam headlights are mandatory
In others, daytime running lights are sufficient
In Austria, there is no general requirement to use lights, while in Italy, daytime running lights are permitted

👉 Conclusion: Daytime running lights increase visibility – but when travelling abroad, check local regulations.
