A 43-year-old female presented with persistent facial erythema mainly over the central face (cheeks, nose, and chin) associated with multiple erythematous papules and pustules for several months. The lesions were recurrent and aggravated by heat and sun exposure, with occasional burning sensation but no comedones.

On examination, there were scattered inflammatory papules and pustules on a background of fixed centrofacial erythema with visible telangiectasia.



✅️✅️ Papulopustular rosacea

a combination of central facial erythema with inflammatory lesions but without comedones.

✍️Key Clinical Clues

🔻1. Central facial distribution
Lesions mainly on:
Cheeks
Nose
Chin
Forehead
🔻2. Persistent background erythema
Fixed redness of the central face
Often associated with flushing episodes
🔻3. Papules and pustules
Erythematous papules and superficial pustules
Resemble acne but without comedones
🔻4. Absence of comedones
Important clue distinguishing it from Acne vulgaris
🔻5. Telangiectasia
Visible dilated superficial vessels on the cheeks or nose

🔻6. Trigger factors Patients often report worsening with:
Sun exposure
Heat
Hot drinks
Spicy food
Alcohol
Emotional stress

🔻7. Sensitive skin symptoms
Burning
Stinging
Skin dryness

🔻8. Age group
Usually adults 30–50 years
