On Monday, April 28th, 2025, in the town of mankien, Unity State, South Sudan, the Director of Health for Mayom County, Dr. Kong-Koang Gatduel , oversaw the reopening of CEmONC, a vital healthcare facility in the area. This event marked an important milestone in the county's efforts to improve public health and well-being.
In addition to the reopening of CEmONC, Dr. Koang-koang Gatduel also coordinated a measles follow-up campaign, aimed at ensuring that those affected by the disease received the necessary treatment and care. The campaign was carried out in collaboration with local healthcare workers and volunteers, who worked tirelessly to identify and treat cases of measles in the community.
The community of Mayom County showed great support for these initiatives, actively participating in the event and even organizing a gift exchange of goats in Mankien Payam.
