Yesterday, AMICAALL had the opportunity to be part of the University Of Eswatini student orientation programme, where we engaged students on HIV, HIV prevention and the importance of making informed choices about their health. ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

As students begin this exciting new chapter of their lives, access to accurate information and HIV prevention services is essential. Our engagement focused on equipping students with knowledge about the different HIV prevention methods available and empowering them to take charge of their health.

We were also joined by our enthusiastic YOMA graduates, who assisted with engaging and educating fellow young people throughout the programme. It is always inspiring to see young people taking an active role in promoting HIV prevention. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŒ

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ A special thank you to UNESWA for inviting AMICAALL as part of the orientation programme and to our partners National Emergency Response Council on HIV and AIDS, Eswatini,AHF Eswatini and Young Heroes We truly appreciate the opportunity to engage with students and contribute towards building a more informed and healthier generation.

Together, we are empowering young people with knowledge today to help prevent new HIV infections tomorrow. ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ๐ŸŒ

PrEP helps reduce the risk of acquiring HIV when taken or used as prescribed. And the best part? There are different PrEP options to choose from, including the daily PrEP pill, injectable PrEP (Lenacapavir) and the PrEP ring (DapiRing). ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

Everyoneโ€™s needs and preferences are different, which is why itโ€™s important to get informed and speak to a healthcare provider about the option that may be right for you.

๐Ÿ“ Visit our AMICAALL mobile clinics and outreach stalls to get more information about PrEP, learn about the different options available, and access PrEP services.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Letโ€™s hear from you!
Between the PrEP pill ๐Ÿ’Š, injection ๐Ÿ’‰ and DapiRing โญ•, which one would you prefer and which one would you like to know more about?

Drop your answer in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

๐ŸŽ—๏ธ๐ŸŒ Empowering Youth. Championing HIV Prevention.

Today, AMICAALL hosted an orientation for YOMA graduates under the Youth 4 Change (Y4C) project, equipping young people with the knowledge and practical skills they need to become champions of HIV prevention in their communities. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ

The graduates were taken through different HIV prevention methods and received hands-on demonstrations on the correct use of both male and female condoms, as well as important information on PrEP pills, injectable PrEP and the PrEP ring.

Look out for these faces! Youโ€™ll soon be seeing our YOMA graduates in different municipal towns, engaging with communities, sharing information and helping people access the knowledge and tools they need to make informed choices about HIV prevention.๐Ÿ‘€

This initiative is being implemented in collaboration with Young Heroes, whose partnership continues to support meaningful youth-led action and healthier communities.๐Ÿค๐Ÿพ

๐ŸŽ—๏ธ๐ŸŒ Students Making a Difference, One Community at a Time!

AMICAALL was delighted to welcome students from Golden Eagles International School for their community service placement. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

During their time with us, the students actively participated in our daily activities and stepped beyond our offices to engage with the wider community. They joined our outreach efforts in Manzini, mobilising transport operators and members of the public to learn more about HIV prevention methods and providing them with HIV self-testing kits.

We truly appreciate the enthusiasm, commitment and willingness the students showed throughout their placement. Your contribution reminds us that young people have an important role to play in creating healthier and more informed communities.

Thank you, Golden Eagle International School, for choosing AMICAALL as your community service placement and for spending your time serving and learning with us. We were happy to have you!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿ“ฃ To schools, students and young people looking for meaningful community service opportunities: AMICAALL welcomes you! Consider partnering with us for your community service placement and gain hands-on experience while contributing to HIV prevention and healthier communities.

Together, we can make a difference. ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ๐ŸŒ

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธDouble the defense! ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

While pills, implants, and IUDs are great at preventing pregnancy as a form of birth control. They donโ€™t do anything to stop STIs. Condoms work overtime to do both. Condoms are 98% effective at preventing pregnancy when used perfectly every time, and reduces the risk of HIV transmission and STI spreading by more than 90%. Keep yourself full covered! ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ๐ŸŒ

Visit us at any of our mobile clinics and get education on condoms, free condoms and a demonstration of how they are used effectively. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿค
