Looking for a gift they'll still be grateful for long after the tiny clothes are packed away?

Give the gift of the first feeds - a Breastfeeding Preparation Gift Certificate.

A cute muslin or tiny outfit will be loved for a few months. A confident start to breastfeeding can benefit a family for life.

The first hours and days postpartum matter enormously, and many of the challenges that parents face later are shaped by what happens in that early window.

A prenatal breastfeeding consultation helps make those early weeks feel less overwhelming. I tailor the sessions to the family’s questions, but typically cover:
• how breastfeeding works and what to expect in the early days
• how birth practices and hospital routines can affect feeding
• individual risk factors worth knowing about in advance
• practical strategies if birth or feeding doesn't go to plan
• knowing when something is normal — and when to get help

A gift package includes:
✨ Two 60-minute virtual prenatal lactation consultations (use any time during pregnancy)
✨ 14 days of messaging support from the first session
✨ Personalised guidance for their specific circumstances and breastfeeding goals

Got a pregnant friend or family member overseas?
These consultations are fully virtual, so your gift reaches anyone, anywhere, often at a fraction of what a private prenatal lactation consultation costs at home.

THB 2,500
Your voucher will be personalised with both names and emailed directly to you or the parents-to-be.

To order, just send me a message. 💛

After 5 years of studying one of the most incredible features of the human experience, I have passed my Boards and become an IBCLC! I'm having a rare moment of feeling properly, thoroughly and weepily chuffed 🤗

Extra special thanks to my wonderful husband for championing and supporting me to pursue Board certification. I utterly love this work, and the sheer joy and fulfilment I've found in it.

From here, I'll continue supporting families in Bangkok, and increasingly further afield through online consults. I start a small shift at the main government NICU/paediatric hospital in Bangkok in August. I'm helping to organise a breastfeeding conference here in November. And I'm finally starting to write again.

So, to chapter one...

A momma asked me last week for recommendations for a breastfeeding podcast, and I thought this might be helpful for more of you too. There are some phenomenally helpful podcasts out there, but they're getting buried under the tsunami of new content. These are my go-to’s.

I've picked three shows that are really great for parents, three that I turn to most as an LC, and a few episodes per show as entry points to help get you started

The ones I keep coming back to. With so many podcasts being churned out, some of the best are getting lost. Here are the breastfeeding podcasts that I really love. Three shows I most recommend to families, and three I closely follow as an LC - with suggested episodes to get you started.

A quick reminder that the free online breastfeeding helpline is running today, 12.30-1.10pm. Drop in any time during the slot, ask me anything at all on lactation from pregnancy to weaning. You are very welcome and I am always glad to help.

This has really stayed with me.

Breastfeeding Conference in Bangkok - just one week left for Early Bird prices, where you can join all three days from just $100!

26-28 November, join this amazing conference to hear from leading voices on how the landscape of breastfeeding is changing and how we can shape that.

https://ibfansea.org/conference/

DAY 1: When AI and Influencers are replacing clinicians.
Algorithms shape feeding decisions. Influencers blur support and marketing. Disinformation scales fast and harmfully. Day 1 asks: How to protect breastfeeding in an AI-mediated world?

DAY 2: From Rhetoric to Readiness.
Emergency strategies that overlook breastfeeding miss the region's most resilient, zero-carbon nutrition system. Day 2 examines what works, what's scalable, and what must change.

DAY 3: When protection exists on paper but not in practice.
Conflicts of interest are still entrenched in our health systems, with families paying the price. Day 3 explores how to break the cycle of systems that reproduce barriers despite decades of commitments.

I'm part of the organising committee, so feel free to reach out if you'd like more info!

As a British mum of two little Americans based in Thailand, I technically get three different Mothers' Days. It's the main perk of all the life admin that comes with living and working in a country that's not your own. I remember how sureal my first ever Mothers' Day felt, and yesterday I was thinking about all the incredible new mums I've had the privilege of supporting, as they mark this day. Here's my brood, growing too fast: sending love to yours.
