Last Sunday, millions of volunteers worldwide reclaiming their beaches, parks, and rivers. No politics. No barriers. Just people who decided a cleaner future is worth a Saturday morning.
This year we showed up with Trash Hero Bangkok , Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok, Yara International, Norwich International School Bangkok, KPIS International School — two teams making the difference: a walking crew on community roads, and a stand-up paddleboard crew reaching the waste that floats where feet can't. We collected an impressive 210 kg of waste in just 90 minutes. This included:
General waste 170 kg
Hard plastics 25 kg
Foam 8 kg
Glass bottles 5 kg
Cans 2 kg
And in Myanmar, alongside POP Myanmar, volunteers brought that same spirit of action to their own community, coming together to collect waste, clean shared spaces, and raise awareness about keeping their surroundings cleaner. Meaningful change starts locally, and this movement doesn't stop at borders. Total collected 272 kg of waste.
Single-use - 2 kg
Soft Plastic - 167 kg
Mixed Plastic - 101 kg
PET/LDPE - 2 kg
Every kilogram we collected is a kilogram we've stopped from reaching the sea, helping keep the roadside areas clean for the community. Thank you volunteers, for all the energy, effort, and smiles that made it possible.
