If you think a mother getting a massage means she’s being spoiled,
you may not understand how physical motherhood really is.
The lifting, feeding, carrying, bending, tension in the shoulders, tightness in the back, exhaustion from interrupted sleep — it all adds up over time.
That’s one reason why I try to get regular massages myself when I can. Not because it’s luxurious, but because I genuinely feel the difference afterward.
Whether it’s postpartum massage for new moms adjusting to the demands of recovery and caring for a baby, or even gentle belly massage to support relaxation and reconnect with the body, massage can be such a supportive tool during motherhood.
Massage can help support:
• muscle recovery
• fascia and lymphatic flow
• circulation
• nervous system regulation
• physical and mental relaxation
Sometimes taking care of your body is not indulgence.
It’s recovery 🤍
