When hair growth occurs at the vaginal entrance or inside the vaginal canal post-MTF SRS (S*x Reassignment Surgery), it can be rather devastating. This may cause discomfort, emotional distress, difficulty dilation, etc. Depending on the location of the hair growth, different approaches can be utilized in order to remove the hair.

Cauterization:
This method involves using heat or a chemical agent to destroy the hair follicles. It’s typically used for small, targeted areas. In the neovaginal region, it must be performed with great care to avoid damaging surrounding tissue.

Electrolysis:
Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal technique that uses a fine probe inserted into each hair follicle to deliver an electrical current, destroying the follicle’s growth center. It is highly precise and effective, even in moist or delicate areas like the vaginal canal, but often requires multiple sessions.
