To better understand and preserve the natural value of tropical honey, Beeleaf works closely with Native Honeybee and Pollinator Center ศูนย์วิจัยผึ้งพื้นเมืองและแมลงผสมเกสร to continuously develop and verify honey quality through the evaluation of key bioactive properties, including Antioxidant Activity (DPPH), Proteinase Inhibition, and BSA Denaturation Inhibition.
The results help us build a deeper understanding of how different landscapes, bee species, and floral sources contribute to the unique characteristics of each honey.
From the forests and agroforestry landscapes of Southern Thailand to laboratory analysis, every bottle reflects a connection between biodiversity, science, and well-being. 🐝💛

ผึ้งและชันโรงไทยมีความหลากหลายและเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวที่โดดเด่น เนื่องจากพื้นที่เกษตรกรรมและป่าไม้ของไทยมีความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพสูง ส่งผลให้น้ำผึ้งไทยจึงมีกลิ่นและรสชาติที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ตามฤดูกาลและชนิดของพันธุ์ไม้ ทว่าในปัจจุบัน มูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจของน้ำผึ้งไทยกลับยังเติบโตได้ไม่เต็มศักยภาพ และยังถือว่าต่ำมากเมื่อเทียบกับคุณค่าทางสรรพคุณที่แท้จริง
สาเหตุหลัก ๆ มาจากข้อจำกัดของมาตรฐานสากลที่ไม่สอดคล้องกับธรรมชาติของน้ำผึ้งไทย ซึ่งมีกรดและเอนไซม์เฉพาะตัว ซ้ำยังถูกซ้ำเติมด้วยปัญหาน้ำผึ้งปลอมที่เข้ามาแทรกแซงกลไกราคา น้ำผึ้งถูกขายในราคาเหมาจ่าย โดยไม่มีการคัดแยกเกรดคุณภาพ นอกจากนี้ การขาดระบบข้อมูลด้านโภชนาการที่ชัดเจน ทำให้ผู้บริโภคขาดความเชื่อมั่น จนน้ำผึ้งไทยถูกด้อยค่าให้เป็นเพียง “น้ำตาลราคาถูก” แทนการถูกยอมรับในฐานะ “ซูเปอร์ฟู้ด” (Superfood)
ดังนั้น เป้าหมายของคณะวิจัย “การสร้างความเข้มแข็งและยกระดับห่วงโซ่มูลค่าแบบองค์รวมของผลผลิตของชันโรงในประเทศไทย” โดยการสนับสนุนของหน่วยบริหารจัดการทุนด้านการพัฒนาพื้นที่ ภายใต้การกำกับของสำนักงานเร่งรัดการวิจัยและนวัตกรรมเพื่อเพิ่มความสามารถการแข่งขันและการพัฒนาพื้นที่ (รวพ.) คือ การทลายข้อจำกัดที่มีอยู่ ด้วยการ “ยกระดับมาตรฐาน เพิ่มมูลค่า และสร้างคุณค่า” ให้แก่น้ำผึ้งไทย
คณะวิจัยจึงได้พัฒนาดัชนีชี้วัดน้ำผึ้งเขตร้อน หรือ Tropical Honey Index: THI เพื่อคัดกรองคุณภาพน้ำผึ้ง รวมถึงคัดแยกน้ำผึ้งปลอมออกจากระบบ กำหนดมาตรฐานแบบมีส่วนร่วมแบบยั่งยืน (7S3A) ที่ส่งเสริมให้เกษตรกรผลิตน้ำผึ้งคุณภาพสูง มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะถิ่น ปลอดภัย และสามารถตรวจสอบย้อนกลับได้ รวมถึงยังผลักดันให้มีการทบทวนเกณฑ์มาตรฐานน้ำผึ้งสากล
ทั้งนี้ เพื่อให้น้ำผึ้งและชันโรงไทยถูกยอมรับและสามารถแข่งขันในตลาดโลกได้ ไม่ใช่แค่ในฐานะผลผลิตทางการเกษตรคุณภาพดีของประเทศไทย แต่เป็น “ซูเปอร์แบรนด์” ที่มีคุณค่าและมูลค่าสูง โดยหวังว่า “ผึ้งไทย” จะช่วยเพิ่มโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศและสร้างความยั่งยืนให้แก่เศรษฐกิจชุมชน ในฐานะ “ตัวเปลี่ยนเกม” หรือ “Game Changer” ที่สำคัญได้อย่างแท้จริง
