Buatong is going for a swim and as usual Bai Boua doesn't waste a second to climb on her mum.

This allow her to float and rest while enjoying the fresh water in a hot day.

We can't get enough of these little feet in the air.

Bai Boua didn't give up on her toy.

What was once a vine swing is still good enough for her to play with, even broken. ☺️

Our little girl doesn't miss an opportunity to make us laugh.

Buatong, at the back, is eating as usual as much bamboo leaves as she can. 🌿

Bai Boua took a long break to drink milk while her mother Buatong kept eating.

Nursing mother elephants need to eat extra food to support milk production and meet their higher energy demands.

Our village will be buzzing.

The Karen community will come together to help each other.

Each day, helping one family to harvest their fields, sharing meals, telling stories...

💧Staying hydrated after eating a lot of grass and bamboo leaves.🌱🌿

Elephants need to drink between 100 and 200 Liters per day.

Their trunk can hold 8 to 10 Liters of water at a single time.

🌿Buatong, the hungry destroyer.🌿

Buatong is a very gentle young female, but in the bamboo forest she reminds us of her strength.
She's very agile to grab bamboo trees with her trunk, tore them down and break them with her feet to finally savor the fresh green leaves.

Bai Boua doesn't miss the chance to take advantage of her mother's work. ☺️
