A Simple, Balanced Start to the Day 🍲🥕

This morning’s routine at VitaRhythm is all about keeping things simple, warm, and nourishing.

We started with Khaotom Blah (rice fish soup) — a light, comforting dish that provides easily digestible protein from the fish along with gentle carbohydrates from the rice. It’s a great way to ease into the day without feeling heavy.

Alongside that, we enjoy a fresh beetroot and carrot juice, which adds natural vitamins, hydration, and a boost of color to the morning. It’s one of our favorite ways to incorporate more vegetables early in the day.

We also include Unicity Unimate as part of our routine. For us, it’s a convenient way to start the day with a light, refreshing drink that supports focus and fits well into our morning rhythm.

At this stage in life, we’ve learned that it’s not about extremes — it’s about consistent, simple habits that help support energy, balance, and overall wellness.

Start light, stay consistent, and build your rhythm from there.

Mango Sticky Rice — A Simple, Satisfying Treat 🥭🍚 (add ice cream!!)

One of our favorite Thai classics is mango sticky rice—simple ingredients, great flavor, and naturally satisfying.

Ripe mango brings natural sweetness plus vitamins and hydration, while sticky rice provides steady energy. The coconut milk adds a creamy finish and helps make the dish feel indulgent without needing heavy processing.

Ice cream optional and there are several types and colors of sticky rice you can use.

At VitaRhythm, we enjoy this in moderation, pairing real ingredients with balanced portions. Healthy living isn’t about cutting out the foods you love—it’s about enjoying them thoughtfully as part of your daily rhythm.

Sometimes a small, simple treat is exactly what keeps everything in balance.

Homemade Coconut Ice Cream — A Naturally Sweet Treat 🥥🍨

One of the little joys in our kitchen is Suchana’s homemade coconut ice cream. Instead of using heavy dairy creams and lots of processed ingredients, she makes it with coconut milk as the base, which gives it a rich, creamy texture and a naturally tropical flavor.

What makes it even better is how she mixes in simple, wholesome ingredients like taro, pumpkin squash, or black beans. These traditional ingredients add natural sweetness, fiber, and extra nutrients while keeping the dessert satisfying and balanced.

Coconut milk provides healthy fats that help create that smooth ice-cream texture, while ingredients like pumpkin and taro bring vitamins and minerals along with their unique flavors. It’s a great reminder that desserts don’t have to be overly processed to be delicious.

Our 'VitaRhythm' goal is to keep our meals — and even our treats — focused on real ingredients and simple preparation.

Sometimes the best recipes come from combining traditional flavors with a little creativity in the kitchen.

And yes… John happily volunteers as the official taste tester. 😋

Northern Thai–Italian Fusion
🍝🌶️

We love meals that combine great flavor with wholesome ingredients. This dish blends Italian spaghetti with Northern Thai Sai Ua sausage, garlic, chili, and fresh herbs.

Garlic and chili bring bold flavor and natural antioxidants, while vegetables like broccoli and cherry tomatoes add fiber and vitamins. Sai Ua provides satisfying protein and Northern Thai spices, and the spaghetti offers balanced energy for the day.

Healthy meals don’t have to be complicated — just fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and a little creativity.

Here’s a simple version of this fusion recipe you can try at home.

Ingredients (2 servings)

• 200 g spaghetti
• Northern Thai sausage (Sai Ua), sliced
• 8–10 cloves garlic
• 4–6 dried red chilies
• 8–10 cherry tomatoes
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp fish sauce
• 1 tbsp oyster sauce
• ½ tsp brown sugar
• 2 tbsp chicken broth
• pasta water
• broccoli or vegetables
• spring onion, parsley, coriander

Quick Method

- Cook spaghetti until al dente and reserve some pasta water.
- Pan-fry sliced Sai Ua until fragrant.
- In the same pan sauté garlic and chili in olive oil.
- Add spaghetti, sausage, sauces, broth, and pasta water.
- Add vegetables and tomatoes, toss well.
- Finish with herbs and a squeeze of lime if desired.
- Simple, flavorful, and satisfying.

Protein, Balance, and a Simple Thai Favorite

One of the things we’ve learned over the years is that good nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes the healthiest meals are the ones that combine simple ingredients with great flavor.

A favorite in our routine is a classic Thai-style plate with larb badook (catfish larb), grilled chicken (without the skin), and a small portion of sticky rice.

Catfish and grilled chicken are excellent sources of lean protein, which plays an important role in maintaining muscle, supporting metabolism, and helping us stay energized throughout the day. As we get older, making sure we get enough quality protein becomes even more important for staying active and maintaining strength.
The herbs, lime, and spices used in larb add incredible flavor while keeping the dish light and fresh.

Sticky rice provides a satisfying source of energy that pairs well with the protein, making the meal both balanced and enjoyable.

At VitaRhythm, we try to focus on meals that include whole ingredients, good protein sources, and flavors we truly enjoy. Healthy eating isn’t about restriction — it’s about creating a rhythm that works for your life.

Sometimes that rhythm starts with a simple plate of good food.

For several years I’ve made fiber balance a priority in my daily routine.

After surviving lymphoma, my heart went through significant stress. Combined with a hereditary condition that makes me especially sensitive to LDL/HDL levels, maintaining good nutrition became even more important for me.

One of the habits that’s helped is focusing on whole foods, moderate salt, cutting back on cheese, and avoiding heavily processed foods whenever possible.

I’ve also use Bios Life S as part of my routine because it provides a source of soluble fiber. Diets rich in soluble fiber are widely recommended in mainstream nutrition guidance to support healthy cholesterol and overall heart wellness.

My doctor has often commented that my cholesterol levels and general health markers have remained surprisingly good considering my medical history. I believe consistent daily habits — diet, lifestyle, and fiber intake — have played an important role.
Small routines add up over time.

Fresh fruit is one of the simplest ways to support a healthy, balanced lifestyle. 🍉🥭🫐
We try to include a variety of fruits in our daily routine because they provide natural vitamins, fiber, hydration, and antioxidants that help support overall wellness and energy. A colorful plate like this reminds us that good nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated — sometimes the best choices are the most natural ones.
At VitaRhythm, we believe small daily habits, like adding more fresh fruit to your meals, can make a meaningful difference over time.
