TAASM更名自台灣男性學醫學會 (Taiwanese Association of Andrology，簡稱TAA)。TAA的前身為中華男性學醫學會(Association of Andrology of Republic of China，簡稱AAROC)。學會成立於1993年3月6日，為非營利之社會團體。本會宗旨在促進台灣男性學(包括男性、女性性功能障礙與不孕症)之發展，匯集同好之力以提昇研究、教學、及臨床醫療服務之品質，同時亦肩負拓展民衆衛教，增進國際交流之重任。
