SUGECO is conducting a Training of Trainers (ToT) for CRDB Bank staff under the Tanzania Agriculture Climate Adaptation Technology Deployment Programme (TACATDP).

The training is designed to equip CRDB Bank staff with a comprehensive understanding of Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) technologies and their role in building resilient and sustainable agricultural systems. By strengthening their technical knowledge, participants will be better positioned to assess, appraise, and finance agricultural projects that integrate CSA practices under the TACATDP programme.

As Master Trainers, the participants will cascade this knowledge to other CRDB Bank staff across the country, creating a strong internal capacity to identify, evaluate, and support bankable Climate-Smart Agriculture investments. This approach will enhance the Bank's ability to expand access to Agricultural Resilience and Adaptation (ARA) finance, enabling more farmers and agribusinesses to invest in climate-resilient technologies.

Through this initiative, SUGECO and CRDB Bank are strengthening the capacity of the financial sector to accelerate the adoption of Climate-Smart Agriculture, improve agricultural productivity, enhance climate resilience, and contribute to sustainable economic development in Tanzania.

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting delegates from AGRA Tanzania at SUGECO for a courtesy call and an insightful field visit 🌱

The delegation had the opportunity to interact with beneficiaries of our programs, including participants of the YEFFA project, witnessing firsthand the impact of our initiatives in empowering youth and advancing agribusiness.
